Looks like Taufik Hidayat, Lee Hyun-ill and Wong Choong Han will participate in the MS.
In WS Mia Audina, Kim Kyeung Ran and Pi Hongyan have accepted the invitation. Dai Yun and Xia Xuanze are expected to respond friday.
No news about the rest of the field.

Wow, Chen Jin ? Is he the newly crowned world junior champion ? Not even ranked on IBF list, must be the replacement for Xia to gain some points. Do they get points for this invitation torney ?
How is Jun Jae Youn ranked #60 invited ? Another replacement for Kim ?

They don't get any world ranking points since this is an invitational tournament, there's only the money and especially the glory to play for :)
As for the LS, they could just have invited the top 5 Chinese and Camilla if they wanted the best to attend, but they have chosen cultural diversity instead which I think is a good idea. It wouldn't have been much fun othervise IMHO.

If this is an elite tournament, my opinion is QUALITY comes first.
it is also just around a week after the China Open. i see that other than Zhang Ning, all the other "invited" players aren't in the top Chinese team. it wll be a lot of money for China to send all their army of ladies all the way to Copenhagen to play an invitational. or perhaps China is responding to the invitation using younger players for them to gain more experience. which is just might as well as this tournamet is a group format, all the participants will get maximum game play. a perfect format if one want to play as many different opponents as possible.

All are against me! ;)
I think it is possible to watch an enjoyable LS without one of them having to be a Chinese. The invited ladies are still good players.
