My friend wanted me to check it out for him but I think its fake.

The zero means its fake right because the ARC10 wasn't made yet?

The date code is...

DDMMYXCC

DD = day
MM = month
Y = year
X = ??
CC = country code

Basically that code says it was made on October 17, 2000 or maybe 2010? (I have no idea what they are doing for 2010, maybe someone who has a brand new arc 5 can tell us?). Either way, obviously it's wrong.

I had an Arc 5. But it was manufactured in late 2009.

I'm pretty sure the price was too good to be true as well. At least, I hope it was or else it would have been one expensive counterfeit.

Saw a pic of a 2010 earlier, maybe Matt's Arc8DX. 5th digit is zero again http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/images/icons/icon3.gif

Nice way to make it confusing... way to go yonex...

They should have just added another number or made that last number (which I have no idea what it's for) usefull.

Just noticed you hadn't put up any cone code pics :). The pic I saw was of an Arc100 JP @ Camel Sports; cone code: 280102JP
The 100th bag looks pretty good irl, except for maybe the bright yellow interior.
