I was in Jaoan last weekend and went ot a couple of badminton shops in Tokyo. Accdg to the guys in the store, Yonex Japan has stopped the production of Ti10JP. I saw Yonex's 2003 catalog and true enough, there is no Ti10JPs anymore. Yonex seems to be pushing the MP series more, like the MP90 and 100. The MP100 is more expensive though than the MP90, by around Yen1,000. FYI :)

They better bring out the new and improved Ti-10 in a different model name or else...
I'm gonna boycott Yonex....haha

They are probally getting rid of the Ti-10 to prepare their new line of racquets....:D

It is a long time rumor that Ti-10 has been discontinued. In fact, I know people whose stock up this racquet for sometime (I don't classify myself as one of them but I bought one more after I heard the rumor and now I've 3 Ti-10).

In fact, I've heard about migration of the entire Ti series to MP series as well ... including the Ti Swing Power series.

Unlike all the MP racquets, Ti-10 and Ti Swing Power have adopted a thin shaft design. It may be difficult to release a MP version of these racquets by following the design of exisitng MP racquets strictly (Utimum shaft, MP frame, etc.).

I wonder whether Yonex will announce a new high end model in April this year. From my experience, Yonex usually announce new high end model in Japan Open or other 5 stars competition in mid year, and the racquet will become available in the later of the year.

They're running too fast, dragging the whole world with them.
Personally, I think this is the first sign of falling apartness :p

But seriously, when a company is changing their products at the speed of light(a whole new model line every yr!! if they come out with a new line of rackets after the MP series while discontinuing lines of rackets which MANY people use), they're gonna lost a LOT of customers.

I dont know how they're gonna do this but so many pros use Ti-10s, so which means if Yonex discontinues them, they gonna have to switch rackets. Hearing from many people however, they tend to pick a racket and STICK with it! I jus hope Yonex knows what they're doing.

I speak for one of them since I now am 100% loyal to Ti-10s :)

You know, I am also wondering if Yonex Japan and Yonex elsewhere have a different set of management because TI10SPs are still available in HK or elsewhere. Only Ti10JPs are not available  Fortunately I was able to buy one Ti10JP 2U last September in Japan so I think I have to take care of this baby:D I know A LOT of people use this racket because they just love the power and slight head heaviness feature. I personally use a 2U MP90JP.

Yonex has new technology for introduction in or around June of this year. The new technology will be hard to copy. Everybody has tried to Clonex the entire MP series and Yonex is reworking the line to ramp up the new tech for Athens. Many of the current players are switching to the MP for this year and are in on the design of the new raquet.

Can't tell you because the company is being very secretive about it. The cost will be higher than any of the MP's though.

OK, count me ... out :) I'll switch to other brands. ProAce seems very good, but is kind of hard to find in North America. I have to wait til someone goes to South East Asia.

More expensive than MP series ? MP series is already quite expensive imo ...
