Very much related with personal preferences. Even within the same series, different models have various of supporters.

My suggestion is to do a serach in this forum, as well as in "product review" sections. U will find tons of useful information / debates all over the place.

You will never find facts from equipments as they're all your opinion. Joe here may like the Ti-10 but Bob doesn't etc.

You'll most likely have to find out for yourself. Regardless of how well the MP series performs, I like the Ti-10. It is stiff and it is very durable unlike the MPs. I've had a friend that had 3 crack on him which is not good. And if the answer is that you need a 2U racquet to dodge these bullets, then screw that! :)

I agree that it depends on what you like, you have to try them. I become a Ti racket player, but I also like the MP88 very much.

I have heard that the Ti Swingpower rackets are not so durable as the other Ti's and the MP's. I think it is true, I broke my first Ti SP within 3 weeks...

You could always send it back to Yonex and they should be able to repair it or send you a new one.

Hi, just want to input on racket durability, I guess the Ti series might be more durable than the MP series. I broke my MP90JP last night after a "light" clash with my partners racket. It got hit at the head, 4 o'clock area but broke evenly at the 4 o'clock and 7 o'clock area - very straight across. The strenght of the hit is only like slapping your arm to hit a mosquito. So its not strong at all. My racket has no cracks or chips watsoever. I bought that in Japan last November Grrrrr!!!

It must be also the string tension coz I strung it at 28/27 just last week.
:(

So now i am really wondering with jp and sp or gr has any relevance in relation to durability. i think they are all the same.

Depends on how it broke. If it broke because of material defects, then yeah but NOT if it broke because of a racquet clash.

was it a 3U or 2U?

we know that JP rackets are supposedly better quality and more durable. however, that does not mean that they are invincible.

Is your MP-90 2U or 3U? 3U are easily broken.

Was your racquet strung by a competent stringer? Did the stringer use progressive tension stringing method?

My MP90 is a 2U. I had it strung by the official Mizuno shop here where they string both tennis and badminton rackets and they also string the rackets of most of our club's members. I guess it must be the high string tension. I just made a new thread and attached some pics.

This is where it is debatable. In this scenario we don't know whether the clash, or the stringing caused it or even just happened randomly. I have never seen a racquet cracked in two places and fell off. I've only seen it crack at one place and not affect others. I think I'd go with kwun since he said 7 and 4 o clock on the racquet take a lot of stress... especially when he strung it up to 27lbs.

my current racket btw is a prince classic 820, 100% graphite, 85g, strung at 22. though it's relatively light, my coach and some other class A players i know here think that the head is heavy. i might just buy the Yonex Ti5 or RSL Ti3180. what do you guys think? :)
