what about the megaflex f1ti? or the other ones? you might like some of the megaflex series racquets than the asti.

I used this AS-ti racket a lot until I broke 3 of them. I like it for it is light enough for a fast net play but top heavy enough to give you good smashes or decent returns against your opponent's. However, when strung too high (28 for mine), its difficult to control the bird if you miss-hit it off center, meaning the racket's sweet spot is somewhat smaller. Not many like the feel of this light racket so its not as popular with my group compared to the Yonex brand, but other Carlton models are ok with some.

I've heard that Carlton doesn't produce this model anymore or that its coming out with a new model. I switched to another brand as the price of this existing model tripled its price the last I checked. But I still want to get one for posterity, if the price is right. I can't say this is for everyone so better try one before buying.

They discontinued it? are you sure? And where did you buy your AS-Ti?

...the new racket line will be soon available. The AS Ti will be replaced by the "pro" made out of carbon, finish black with white markings + stripes. The pro will be the only Airblade racket weigthing around 90 g. The AS 1 seems to be discontinued without any replacement... :(

I bought mine at a local sport store although it is not available there anymore. They now carry newer models. However, the local Carlton distributor office still has them and this is where I found out that the price has increased. I don't know their number but I can ask a friend who does in case you are interested.
