Hey people...
This is a thread where people could tell where they usually play, and maybe ask another person (usually someone that lives in the same town/city) to arrange a time to play against them. Have a wonderful badminton match.:cool:

I play at the Kelowna Badminton Club and at the Summerland Badminton Club...Penticton Club is looking for a place to play right now and once they find it, I'll play there too
This all in British Columbia
If anyone is coming here during the summer for vacation, let me know and I'll take a few rounds out of ya :)
I'm always up for some friendly competition.
I love to give "lessons" and not hard up about getting a few back in return :D

I'm sure most of us always keep that in mind. Anyhow, most of us are fit enough to outrun most out there. And in my case, not enough money to worth mugging (:D i guess?)
Hey... anyone who plays in Richmond / Van.. let me know if you need an extra player ^^
UBC's student rec centre is closed for antoher 2 weeks.. need to find alternative places to play.. hehe..

tarepanda 04-19-2003, 09:12 PM I play in the L'Amoreaux Badminton Club. I hope they have a summer program. I'm also starting to play in the L'Amoreaux Badminton Centre on Thursday's and Saturday's. Going to join a couple summer programs too other than the club one. I'm a noobie so I ain't going to make any challenges here. Wait a couple more months until I become more consistant in my shotmaking and what not...

tarepanda 04-27-2003, 02:02 AM I'm going to join Lee's Badminton Training Centre pretty soon too. I wanna play when ever I have time so Lee's suit's me more. According to the coordinator and if what I remember is correct, I can play whenever they are open and as long as they don't have any training sessions, tournaments and if the courts aren't booked. Pretty sweet in my opinion.

Are the names of the facilities or are they the places you go to? I'm asking because I might go visit my special someone there real soon and I want to compare the badminton scene there and here.

Yeah. But I promised someone ;) that I will come spend Christmas with them. I'm staying for around a month more or less. I hope I am staying somewhere in Richmond because I don't really want to take the transit too much cause i'm not familiar at all with the area. Haha! Don't send me to places that have only people that are good. I'm not that great. But I will go watch and sometimes play because I want to gain that experience.

Oh. I see. Well, a bit of change in plans. I'm going to go to Vancouver on the 15th. Hopefully staying somewhere close to my "lo por" (chinese for wife). And then going to China on the 20th. WEEEEEE!!!!! Coming back on the 3rd. Then staying somewhere until sometime after the chinese singing contest held every year in Vancouver. I don't think I sound THAT good but I promised her so... yeah. Tell me if you know where I can stay!!

Haha. I think that her dad will kill her and I don't want that.
She is trying to make me stay for long time! I want to but I'm going to have to find a place to live and find a job, etc. *sigh*...
