Hi ljq and JackOne.
I know an Indonesian friend who used to be an ex SBA (Singapore Badminton Association) player, who is doing coaching now. His name is Aman Santosa. He himself have played the international player.
I have trained and sparred with him a couple times. He is a very good in coaching techniques and sparring as well (I cant beat him yet) :p . If both of you train under him, I believed you guys will improve your skills.
I don't have his mobile number at this moment, since I have lost my mobile phone last weekend. I will email/pm you guys once I have his contact number.

Yes, Aman is a good coach but his fees are quite steep. He is currently coaching/playing pple like |r|s, Mongoose, etc. If you want, I can PM you his hp no as I have it.
ljq, you're still schooling so you might not be able to afford it unless your parents sponsor you!
Oh No! My parents would definately NOT sponser me. They are already grumbling when i bought a new racket worth $100...

Aman is easy. He conducts his lessons anywhere because you'll most probably have to book the courts for him at some Sports Hall. His fees are relatively cheap compared to other ex national players, contact him for more details.
I've sent you a PM including his HP no.

Anyone heard about Eng Hian coach?
I heard that he was a former national player.
Anyone can comment about his coaching?
How much is Aman Santosa charging?
Any comments on his coaching approach and experience?
Thanks

Oh, is Eng Hian's coaching now? Thought he's still playing. Well he's resting because Flandy has shoulder injury.
Aman's a nice guy. I met him during Singapore Open 2002 and he was the friendliest and took me to some other Indon players to get signatures, pics etc.

Hi,
If you have a tight budget or cant find a coach. Just come to Chong Pang CC at yishun mrt area. See streetdirectory.com.sg. Pay sgd6 a nite to play. Just start off with playing against your level of players first. Then slowly play with more better players. Many different levels of players there. Oh, if you are lucky, you get free tips from me.

I do make the effort to travel to boon lay cc to play twice a week. I stay in yishun. However, this group is for advance players only. Do pop over on sunday 3pm to see it. You can meet up with me and maybe I can give some tips there.

i stay in yishun and play twice weekly at jurong east :)
actually we'll have a friendly match with boon lay cc this coming saturday 8-10PM at jurong east
court 2, court 3 - 8-9PM
court 1, court 2, court 3, court 4 - 9-10PM
boon lay cc have very strong double players. we always lose during intercon, because our veteran doubles + ladies single.
overall, twister will become twisted :D :D :D ... but it's a very good opportunity.
i think they will have mixture of boon lay + bukit batok cc players in the team.

$30 per 2 hours isnt a lot if its a private session. My friend is paying Aman $50 an hour.
