Why is Taufik playing so badly? He lost to some guy; Lee at the Swiss Open Semi Finals......
If you have seen Lee Tsuen Tseng play you would't be
surprised. He is a Morten Frost clone and was the apple of his
eye.He is even as tall and lean as Frost and is a good athlete
with many skills and is barely 20 years old.

Taufik shouldn't have lost the game!
I think he should be able to be the champion

Taufik wins either way.
he had an argument with PBSI (again). PBSI wanted to fire his coach and he was complaining since he claimed that the coach is the only person who can make him win the All England. so if he lose, he can blame PBSI.
if he wins, well, he wins.

I thought his coach is still in Indonesia.
He will be coaching Taufik HIdayat until the world championship

so then taufik has no excuse losing.

It's either he felt uncomfortable with the new scoring system or he might had played badly
i always thought the new scoring system would suit taufik, that's how they play in the indonesian open, every shot they play are offensive/agressive play, which is what people says the scoring system favors.
Poor Taufik, I hope he bucks up.
U don't expect a top player to do well in every tournament do u????

kwun maybe the new scoring system have surprising outcomes that none of us would anticipate. Let sit back and watch how the 7x5 would turn out

i dont think taufik is mentally in top form compares to the veterans
Yes, I agree with you. Also a good point made by Cooler that Taufik is mentally weaker... think I've pointed out that he's a pretty emotional guy. Not that I see it as a fault but it may have an adverse effect on his game. Btw, someone mentioned on another forum that current Indonesian MS shuttlers dun seem to win outside SE Asia... I think that's a rather valid pt as well.

Yes, PBSI retained Taufik's coach or he'll just quit..
Hidayat seems to think he can get his way with everything.
Actually I dun blame him. I think I've mentioned b4 that players will form emotional attachments to their partners or coaches... it's like us having a favourite teacher or sth to that extent. Besides, I think PBSI's excuse for sacking Mulyo is pretty stupid. I mean, they blamed Taufik's outburst agst them on Mulyo being a divorcee... what kind of warped reasoning is that?
Yeah, I think they just want to have more control over Taufik.
