According to the DBF site, Morten Frost will be coaching Peter Gade for the World Championships. The outline is as follows:

* Morten Frost will be coaching Gade, while still keeping his position as the head (?) of the South African Badminton Union.

* The collaboration has a trial period up to and including the World Championships, after that an evaluation will decide if the collaboration also will include the Athens Olympics.

* Morten Frost will be coaching Gade in Brøndbyhallen

* Frost already started studying Gade during the Sudirmap Cup.

* The collaboration is an initiative from Danish National Coach Steen Schleicher Pedersen.

I really think Peter Gade need it. See how much Morten brought Poul-Erik Hoyer-Larsen from a average player to the elite class.

Frost probably can uplift Gade's game in certain aspects

such as defense and strategy but I think Gade cn also

learn a lot from Hoyer -Larsen in terms of stokes .

I think it is a very lethal combination and comes at a very appropriate time

when the opposition is vulnerable.

Peter G was quite happy in Japan with his win over Lee Hyun Il. He seems more confident. It will be extremely interesting to see if Frost can make a significant effect given the short duration they will be working together.

In previous matches, when Gade is on the receving end, he tries to be more deceptive taking the shuttle later. It seems he ran out of ideas on what to do in the game to take the initiative back (even though his shots were still very good).

Roll on the World Championships. For men's singles, it is more open than ever.

Everybody has a chance.
