Jerry 03-18-2001, 02:19 PM Grip Or no Grip? which has more control and power? shaun 03-18-2001, 02:52 PM ....what do you mean by grip or no grip? because all raquets come with grips. Jerry 03-18-2001, 02:57 PM ya but i mean it is better if you put another grip over the original one? shaun 03-18-2001, 03:02 PM Oh depends how you like it. I personally prefer to have a grip over the original one all because i like the handle to be a bit larger in diameter. i find that it gives me better controll and more power because i seem to be able to hold the raquet better with a bit larger handle. hope this helps =p richard 03-18-2001, 06:48 PM An overgrip usually gives a better and firmer grip. And like Shaun mentioned, u can use an overgrip to adjust the size of the grip to suite yr hand size. There are a wide variety of overgrip out there, from spongy to hard to towelling grip. Usually u have to try out a few before finding one u like. And if u watch AE2001 u would see lots of players using towelling grip, tape all the way to the beginning of the shaft. richard Jerry 03-18-2001, 07:27 PM oh i see . so do you guys prefer an overgrip ? what kind of grips do you guys use? shaun 03-18-2001, 07:51 PM i'm using the pro kinnex super grip Todd 03-18-2001, 09:49 PM i see alot using the yonex super grap kind, but i think it loses its "grippiness" pretty quick cooler 03-18-2001, 11:34 PM grip is a very personal preference. No right or wrong answer. Everybody grip their badminton racket differently. Everybody sweat differently. May 03-19-2001, 01:27 AM Well said. Kelvin 03-19-2001, 01:59 AM That's because their hands sweat too much... For someone like me who doesn't get sweaty hands much at all, it suits me really well. Also, I like the feel of it... not too tacky, yet not too dry, or thick either. :) :( :o :D ;) :P :? :X |
