Probably, we have a draw on the eve of this Badminton tournament, as it was discussed in this thread;

http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/54092-Releasing-the-draw-on-the-eve-of-a-Badminton-tournament

I don't know what has become of the idea. It was proposed in May 2008.

And 74% of BCers voted to approve it.

But the draw was already made:

http://www.allenglandbadminton.com/draws.htm

I just hope it doesn't become an English National's situation, where scores were updated rather slowly (and no live score)! I think that was due to a technical problem.

I guess it will go up soon, as the All England site links to Tournament Software to display the latest scores.

There is no redraw.
Give Saina relatively easier path to final in WS.

Thomas/Kamilla withdrew. Seems Thomas Laybourn is still injured. Poor him.
Nice for Nova/Vita, but harder path for them. In first round, should meet Polish XD

Commentators for the AE

It is hoped that the commentators for the 101 edition of the AE tournament are Gill Clark and Iain Wright.
They were former players and they know the history of badminton and its technical aspects.
They also know about the players, their winnings and losses and they are armed with lots of statistics. Their pronunciation is exceptional, even with Chinese, Indonesian and Thai names.
I agree with what was said about the quality of the commentary of the 2011 German Open.

But since this is a Super Series, unlike German, she will probably be one.

I am so happy that Nova/Vita got promoted to the qualification list... It is such a pity that Nova/Vita will likely to meet the fourth seed.
Also for Kido/Lita should advance to the main draw and meet the Dane#2.
I hope they can fight in the early rounds as their paths are relatively easier compare with those in the other draw.

Harder than not playing at all? Harder for their russian opponents you mean! Imagine originally drawn against the very much beatable japanese pair of Hashimoto/Fujii and now facing them instead!? :eek:
Polish pair also not on form it seems ...

Yes, it's Nova Widianto partnering Vita Marissa. But they have to qualify to enter into the main draw.

Wow! Thanks for the fast answers.

I thought last year's All England was Nova's last. Apparently, it was only his last All England with Lilyana.

With a lot of new partnership this year, this is going to be an exciting event. Too bad there's no coverage of All England in our country. :(

I guess tournament software would suffice.

I think Nova/Vita should be able to handle Durkin/Vislova and based on the recent German Open result, Shin Baek Cheol didn't even qualify to enter the main draw. He lost to unknown japanese pair. I think Kido will advance.

It's usually the case when a tournament is held in a country, then that country would not receive the streaming.

Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif/Hoon Thien How (MAS) def. Patipat Chalardchaleam/Nipitphon Puangpuapech (THA) 21-14, 21-11 (22 minutes)

Malaysia has 6 MD pairs in the main draw!
.
Yes, Congratulations to the 6 MAS MD pairs, namely;

* Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong [5]
* Gan Teik Chai/Tan Bin Shen
* Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari/Ong Soon Hock
* Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif/Hoon Thien How
* Chan Peng Soon/Lim Khim Wah

I think you have made an error. There should be only 4, namely;

* Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong [5]
* Gan Teik Chai/Tan Bin Shen
* Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari/Ong Soon Hock
* Mak Hee Chun/Tan Wee Kiong
.

Maybe I worded it wrong.

Those four were originally in the main draw, but now they have two more that qualified today:

*Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif/Hoon Thien How
*Chan Peng Soon/Lim Khim Wah

This gonna be big homework for new coaches.

Yacob should out from PBSI, too much influences.
When no Binpres, he acted placed it. Remember he forced to place Injury Sony on Asian Games.
Now he acted WS coach, to give favour to Linda & April in Sudirman Cup he downed in home Maria Febe who doasn't send to any tournament.

Too much politics and favouritism. Isn't Wong Tat Meng supposed to take over the WS dept?

Most tournaments do not broadcast until the SF. Probably because of the prestige of the AE, they will begin broadcasting from last 16 onwards.

The schedule in Singapore to watch live on StarHub Ch 211 is as follows:

10 March (Thurs) last 16: 6pm - 11pm
12 March (Sat) QF: 1am - 6am
12 March (Sat) SF: 8:30pm - 1:30am
13 March (Sun) Final: 7pm - 2am
