I just bought a MP27 recently too, u can find 1 at the yonex showroom in far east plaza. I tink the shop name is sunrise. Just enter the complex n turn left,u will arrive at tat shop. Lotsa rackets n stuff there, but only yonex lah! Anyway i bought my racket at $134, (free 1 tube shuttles which cost around $20 ).

Hope this is of help to u!

Ermm.... I'm afraid you got cheated of your money! That's one of the MOST expensive shops to buy badminton stuff from!

You should get your rackets from the shops in Bras Basah Complex.

Here's a comparison.

MP100 ---> Yonex Sunrise Shop sells it for around S$300+. Bras Basah sells it for around S$180. I don't know how much the MP27 cost at Bras Basah though.

An MP100 can be bought around S$160-S$180 at Bras Basah. What's so confusing about that??

You mention that there're shops cheaper than the ones at B.B. Care to tell us where and what racket prices are higher in B.B than other places??

it came with original string.anyway dun get that racket i believe u can get a better 1 for tat price. i used it n realized it was too heavy for my liking, not as powerful as i would expect it to be too. Or perharps it has stg to do wif the string /string tension? anyway wads the name of the shop at bb which sells at such a horrifyingly cheap price?

It's not horrifyingly cheap really. It's the norm price in S'pore. Those who're badminton "fanatics" will definately know about Bras Basah Complex. I can't name the shops because you might not be able to get it for S$160 (I've been a regular customer). As I've said, there're 4 shops altogether. 2 on the ground floor and 2 more on the third floor. Look around and find the best deals yourself!

There're also other ways to get them cheaper. 1--> you know a national player or 2---> Get it from a shop near (around the vicinity) Tanjong Pager MRT (prices roughly the same as B.B, sometimes slightly cheaper.) But I can't rem what's the name of the shop though. It actually doesn't sell rackets in S'pore. It does importing and exporting of rackets to Malaysia if I'm not wrong. But they'll sell to you if you go to their doorstep.

Btw, I was at the Yonex Sunrise shop yesterday. I was horrified to learn that they're selling the MP33 for S$160! That's stupid for such a "low end" MP racket! I mean, I can get the MP100 for about the same price! Oh yah, MP100 was going for about S$320 if I'm not wrong.

modius,

MP 33 is quite expensive ... even if you buy at bras basah ...
The price should be near the same as MP55

it's not really a low end ... MP33 is called medium range

dear modious

i've been to b.b.c to check out the price of the mp 100 & mp 27. the cheapest i manage to find is 295 for mp100 and 150 for mp27. 160 for a mp100 is not the norm price in singapore. not everyone can get it at that price.btw i was at world of sport and saw the mp100 going for 325+15%off and the mp27 going for 134+15%off. it all goes to show that stuff at b.b.c are not really that CHEAP. one more thing the mp33 is going for 179 in b.b.c.

there is no way BBC selling at $295 ... I dont think you even go there to check it out!

The price of MP-100 is below $190 in Singapore even if you are not a regular ... unless you looks like a tourist.

The only bad thing about BBC is you have to look at the racket carefully ... I saw few stores selling below the norm price and I can see that those are not original yonex.

As swijaya0101 has said, B.B shops are selling the MP100 at around S$180. Cheers!

Well if you don't believe, you can ask those who've bought from B.B. Many people from this forum have bought rackets from B.B!

Hello,
what modious said is true, at B.B you can really get a Mp100 at a price range between $160 - $180, i just bought my Ti-10 sp there at $160 including string, and i bought a MP100 there before and it only cost me $160 including string. I am a regular customer there and the shop owner just give me that price and include the string also.
