I'm wondering if anyone knows any racquets that are similar to Yonex Armortec 900 Power. It doesn't have to be another Yonex racquet. THANKS!
basically any head heavy racket, right? Wilson [k]factor Ktour is very much like it - feels the same. Armortec 700
I think the Babolat Blast might be similar. I don't have the Blast but I have the Power which is lighter and less stiff and based on the specs, I think the Blast might be similar.
To be exact, probably the AT700 old colour. But the AT700 old is probably better in frame durability issue.
Hii.. I think you should try the apacs first, dont be disguise by the looks.. Some say (not sure if it true).. The Apacs 900p looks a like feel like the yonex 900t while The Apacs 900t looks a like feel like the yonex 900p its the other way around.. But not sure.. my source not that reliable You better check it before buy it..
Apacs 900 nanopower comes in a white (Yonex 900tech.) and red (shown above Yonex 900power), but apparently they both play like Yonex 900 power just 2 color variants. I think for Yonex 900tech. in Apacs range is 900 Furious or something. not quite sure , but something similar. (Nano 900 Power (White) hellopanda3 since you're in US, might wanna try this site http://www.apacscanada.com/index.php
DinkAlot Hellopanda3, You should PM the PANDA DinkAlot for those APACS NP900P (RED) I believe he still has some in his stock. I just bought the VH1500 from him last week.
I saw one Sintec racquet similar in colors to AT900P, I dunno if it plays like it though. But it's half the price of an AT900P. Heck it even have a similar sounding name, Armopower 900 Kevlar. http://www.sportscity.com.sg/prod_detail.asp?PID=59&Cate_id=14
I did not try the apacs version of armortec 900T but my friend did just 2 days ago. He is considered slightly better than beginner only. Even at his level he told me the racket vibrates with every hit. So i think apacs is definitely not worth the price you pay as you don get any quality out of it
Played with my new nano900power white today for first time. BG85 at 25 lbs. This view about vibration baffles me - I felt absolutely no vibration at all (I consider myself a strong intermediate player..... whatever that means ). The racket is absolutely superb - responsive, great feel and control and it can certainly pack a punch. The bang for the buck is incredible, so I find your last sentence unbelievable. Highly recommended. Roy B.
This racquet recommended stringing tension is 25-30lbs! damn, must be really powerful to wield this monster! have you realised that sintec racquets always have a higher recommended tension than yonex racquets? why is it so?
Price reasons. If the lesser brands break under stringing, the factory will easily replace the product. However, Yonex prices are greater than that of other brands, and a lot of players uses their product. I guess the company just can't afford to replace each and every single one. Bottomline is that it's still a Yonex. People who use them will usually pay the money to buy a new replacement Yonex as it's a brand worth the price.
