ok just went and had a hit for 2 minutes in the backyard with my little brother. It was windy and there's not alot of room so its nothing amazing at all!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgDtgUvqE4c As you can see i still need to drop probably 10 kgs before im back to my old body shape but im slowly getting there!!!!! And my little brother is 13 so hes doing well for a young fellow Enjoy guys! And lots of feedback!! This is a very dodgy video though lol so don't be expecting it to be good.
also lol if your bored check out my singing vids -_- im not very good though haha but i can sing tong hua!!!! check it out MORE IMPORTANTLY THE BADMINTON THOUGH!
I just browsed through it, but you consistently turn the wrong way around on your backhand, why? You look very hasty and uncontrolled when doing so. Why no try and follow through your swing with the rest of your body. That way, you're back faster and you can put more power/effort into your drive/clear. A good thing I wanted to say though, you're very light on your feet and move pretty easy around the court, keep it up!
well, the camera doesn't help, i can only see you from 3mins on. the way you move to the front of the court is good; you don't hold your racket high, but your reach the shuttle high enough to play a good shot (3:36) but then at (3:40) you don't move so well to the back; you do some sort of scissor kick/step while moving back a foot or so, not a balanced way to hit a shot. (however, you did do a good split step!) next up is (4:10) a netkill: try not to drop your elbow when you hit it, you'll risk putting it into the net. It was probably to have fun, but jumping is never a good idea the last rally I saw was at (5:30) I think, first another scissor step/kick with you moving back, but then, the second time he played your forehand you did a good blockjump, landing pretty balanced as well....Why not do that all the time? Anyway, my advice would be pretty generic advice for younger players: improve your footwork; timing your splitstep, your recovery from corners and footwork towards you back corners.
Thanks jerby for your comments Like I said I will get a better video for you soon as that one is quite old I have got rid of that bad habit of not having my racquet held up
You are entering are you entering u15s and are u doing singles or doulbes or both me doing both maybe I will play you and then we video that match!
Yea..U15 singles and doubles Yeah Lol :L Btw, have u received a slip telling you the time of your match?
no it was just confirming we had the right person cause my doubles partner spelt my name wrong on the form do u think you will win
Klkl I dont know how I will do. I hope I do well. Just depends how I play on the day. Do you have msn?
I know Jerby and Bradmyster would obviously own me, but I think I could my own against you guys . I dont' have a video but it's always great to see other people playing. (btw, if you ever get a video, it'll be with icky plastic shuttles...)
Enjoyed them all.. ..thanks to all who posted. First time going through this thread. I enjoyed watching brief clips of you guys playing. Now i know who's who... * Vodude, yeah, that's INA badminton at its best.. * demolidor, is that you doing the drill & being drilled (1st video)??.. * jerby, i think it's my first time seeing you play. Your footwork & movements around the court are not bad, considering your height. * kingmarioxv, i hope badminton will be even more popular than track & field and bobsled in Jamaica.. * bradmyster, keep smashing and pummeling your younger bro. Looks like he has the love for the game, just need to nurture him more. Keep posting those videos, guys..
^^I thought..^^ ..we're going by seniority order...I mean, from the first BC member to the the most recent..Meaning, kwun, Cheung, cooler and you go first...
