My BG65Ti last me a month, actually didnt break yet, but I think it will be break within this week ... bg65Ti is more durable then bg80
now my gold BG 66 lasts only a month at 27 lbs....... im going bankrupt... may switch to another string..... any recommendation for the replacement.... i want string with similar feel as bg 66, more durable, and price friendly
^Same. Need a really durable string as im spending too much on re string. Looking for the bg70 pro next as i heard that its durable and a high tension string
My BG-65 finally broke near the top of the frame when warming up. So that lasted almost to this day, exactly 1 year. Talk about durability lol.
played with the gosen bio roots 66 at 28 LBS 15 minuets and i hit at 1.5 o'clock and killed the string
we've only got to yy BG65, BG65 Ti, BG 66, BG80 ,BG 6, and Ashaway MP(supposed to be .66mm) around here...for me BG 65 ->6-8 months. BG 65Ti ->7 months(only used once, too slippery 4 me!). BG 80 -> never used it.. BG 66 ->2 months (except for once , it broke rite after stringing). BG 6 ->3 months(like this string very much. I get it for <2$, since shop owner has loads of them left behind, no 1 except me buys them here.here in BC also i seldom see BG 6 even mentioned ... Ashaway MP-> seriously i don't think this string is .66 mm. Well lasted for 5 months for me....
Reading thru all of this , it seems pretty obvious we need better string. Almost anything reasonably thin and taken above 25 pounds or so seems to have such a short lifespan its bordering on ridiculous. Or could it be that string makers don't want to make a string that lasts, more money in selling lots of breakable string than selling fewer unbreakable ones?
Head Super Power 69-approx. 40 doubles games. Zymax 67-1 game. It was perhaps a mishit but will try again. Next up is Ashaway Micro Legend(.69 mm)
