Is the place opposite sembawang shopping centre a reliable place to get rackets? Its not a shop, its a private house. I intend to get a yonex amourtec 700 from there at $200 with string and grip. Is it a good price? Can i buy from there? Im quite worried that i will buy a fake racket as i noe that there are alot of fake rackets in the market especially yonex ones. klein.
are you referring to Arctic Pacific (Mr. Lim) ? if yes, he is one of the most recommended shop in Singapore ....
Yes, you can get ur racket there. Mr Lim is able to run his business there meaning he does have a lot of regular customers going back to him. Maybe you will too.
Hi Klein, I was there on thursday, yes, the place looks abit rundown, but than the good credibility of the person running it, is well-known. $200 is quite a nice price. Last time I checked, in queensway one shop is selling for $219. He do sell victor racket, but unfortunately, he only have 2 piece, super wave 33, power & control
I believe it must be Victor, right ? when I was there last time, I did not see any Victor racquet, no idea now. Singapore has the official distributor of Victor which is Mr. Chris (the guy at Ang Mo Kio) - this was confirmed by Victor China when I asked them earlier this year. Mr. Lim is one of official distributor for SOTX for Singapore.
Mr Lim does sell Victor though like all other shops in Singapore, he will get the racquets from Chris.
Hi all, for Victor Rackets, you can try Henry Teo too! He use to partnership with Chris, he also has a solid supply of Victor Rackets and other products. Can contact at 96388862. He is an official umpire with SBA and qualified coach for more than 20yrs.
This henry teo i think i know him, often see him at hougang sports hall, always try to promote victor stuff, i dont like him, cause he is a bit proud.. and i ask him for a extra stiff , head heavy racket.. he cant tell me which one.. his product knowledge not so good... i prefer chris, chris is more friendly..
I bet this is not the only negative experience right? Does being proud or can't tell head heavy racket = product knowledge not so good? Really very subjective and situation related reply.
Yes , that's the only negative experience i have.. if bros have other negative exp with this henry, please share it here.. My advice is : if bros here want to buy Victor products, its better to go for Mr chris, he is really a nice friendly person. For Yonex rackets: Mr Lim sembawang For Li ning/Apacs/proace: Can look for Ten & ten aunty amy
Huh? If a the seller who cant even tell if the racket he is selling is head heavy doesn't equate poor product knowledge, I wonder what would???
I believe Kenneth turned Pro many years ago.....his products can be found here.....he still makes good badminton rackets.... http://www.prokennex.com.sg/products/products.html
