Actually who cares about pattern more than badminton ? As long as it looks good and it works ! BTW, you seems to have a soft spot for green racquets !
I think the old TCs and basically anything that's not Isometric will no longer be sold in Japan, but they'll probably continue to be offered in China.
Generally, the TC700 is a lot more powerful and quite a bit more demanding. By my 3rd set, I am already feeling the strain. I managed to hit quite a few bombs with the TC700 -- easily more powerful than the PP9990. The PP10k is a lot more maneuverable and has a larger sweetspot. Direction changes are easier with the PP10k. Since my netting sucks, I can't tell which is better. Personally, I will be hard pressed to give up one for the other. I suspect I'll end up with the PP10k and a couple of TC700 (subject to approval). Good chance since I hinted what I intend to do to my director last evening. She seems okay with it. I am changing too many rackets for the last 3 months.
Hee hee, keep me posted if you be planning to buy anymore TC700 or maybe even the L9. We can share the shipping cost ya.
@weeyeh Thanks for your review.. haha.. ask your director to play with you as well. so you all can buy more rackets and rotate each other.. haha... i am totally agree with you that PP 10K is very maneuverable and very easy to play with.
TC700 feels pretty close a Cab20 or even a Cab30MS imho. Very solid feeling and good for smashes. I reckon, it's an easy transition since you are a strong advocate for Cab30MS.
Mizuno just updated catalog in JP, maybe it will quit from JP market. While a plenty of TC700s can be found in China, price is about $110.
Shipping. Hee hee, I believe should be cheaper if a few of us can share the shipping course. Anyway I be writing a mini comparison of the TC700 with my new 2U NS9900.
Yeah Yeah. Where to buy? sohubuy.com? I'm anticipate for your review soon compare the TC700 with 2U NS9900 since I owned a 2U also.
No problem at all. Definitely better plan than Bruce's. In fact, that's already happening except she's not quite into rackets (but took my Cab30) and compared rackets to handbags . Anyway, got approval. The feel and smashes does reminisce of the Cab explosion. TC700's balance reminds me very much of the original Cab21 but it moves very fast -- faster than my 3u Cab30. And that fantastic kick in the shaft is something really new to me. I generally do not like rackets that are too head-heavy (like the AT's) but the TC700 is really something I'd like to get used to. Definitely demanding though -- I'm still aching from yesterday's session.
The TC700 isn't very head heavy, the bp for my TC700 is 295mm. But it doesn't feel that head heavy and that's why it moves very fast.
haha what did u promise her in return? a Gucci handbag for Valentine's Day? that will cost you 4 pieces of TC700s
Over a year after making that post, I finally met up with Teoky and remembered to try his TC700... and found the above absolutely true. So convinced that I officially qualified for the "real men" club. The TC700 is the first racket that fully convinced me away from my lovely Cab30. Cab30 is still loved but used by my wife. I now primarily use the TC700 with a ZELM PP10k as rainy day racket. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to make this happen.
Guys I know this has been asked before. But I would need directions on how to buy spare grommets for the TC700.
