we are just trying to improve the standard of professional players here - in this case ld is the prime target to beat! in bc there can be several hundreds or thousands of badminton fans contributing and maybe just one may come up with a very good way to beat ld!
To beat LD in just one tournament? or to have a better lifetime H2H record? Then we'll have another thread "How to beat LD twice in a row?" .... :crying:
to walk across the gobi desert, u have to take the first step. Don't think so far ahead lah try to work on the first upset of this year if u can
Although i am a die hard Lin Dan fan, i can share his weakness of the game. I had seen a lot of Lin dan games.. If badminton fans here remember the China master finals 2009 Lin Dan vs Boonsak Ponsana : Lin dan weakness is his opponent is also an attacking player like him.. when Ponsana was doing jumping smashes, Lin dan got problems defending his shots. 2rd example to share is 2009 French Super Series - MS Finals - Lin Dan vs Taufik Hidayat : Lin dan is also having problem with Taufik attacking smashes.. Fast attacking smashes, is my opinion on Lin dan 's weakness!
yes, mental toughness is important to compliment other important ones, strategy, tactic.... most players, however, before they could change their game they already go cuckoo playing with ld! some bcers also noticed fast attacking smashes can get points when playing with ld. yes, thats true and i was wondering why until today we can't find one player that can sustain such as easy skill and beat ld? the reason must be obvious i guess!
lol, but anything is possible! especially if we can use a photo copy machine or if we are serious - ''there is a will there is a way'' or can we say ''there is 2 wills there is 2 ways''? :
credit goes to the thai coach who make the necessary training for boonsak. Boonsak had improved since prior year. In 2010 MO, boonsak came close to taking a set from lcw 20-22 on 1st set. Boonsak got tired in 2nd set.
fast jump smash pg is also an example of attacking player, though he has a variety of deceptive shots including the fast jump smash, he just can't keep using it against lcw to win not to mention ld. this kind of game just required too much energy from them and it's a wastage if the opponent keeps returning the bird! we can also see other player such as boonsak (as mentioned by cooler) or even taufik getting tired just after the 1st set. this shows despite having the deadly n fast jump smash you just can't keep winning points using it. guess it's back to the drawing board...
Where got such thing came close to taking a set from Lcw 20-22? I still remember boonsak got owned and humbled by LCW in the Mas Open final 2 weeks ago. Don't tell me u already forgotten, coolleeer? Chong Wei LEE [1][MAS] -[THA] Boonsak PONSANA21-13 21-7
Try to ask the Korean coach, I'm sure they have a book on Lin Dan's favourite shots/tendency/weakness. The Koreans have managed to shock Lin Dan in the East Asia games. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pHyJl61hHM Lee Hyun Il have managed to beat Lin Dan by playing a smart rallying game to frustrate Lin Dan during the last Korean Open 2008. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZ5z1zwfOog
afraid can't ask - the korean coach can't speak english and all here can't speak korean! anyway thanks for sharing the vid
