I have checked in the information of your Yonex Armortec 600 shaft Serial:8170398; Cone Code:271282GR (date=27 Dec 2008) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its shaft serial and cone code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

Please verify the authenticity of this racket for me

I am unsure of which generation of NS 7000 this is, either 1st or 2nd. Definitely not the newest since this one is maroon in color. However, I have seen pictures of the 1st? generation, and on the racket frame it has "nano technology" at the 3&9 o'clock section. But mine has "nano science". I am unsure of what the differences are between the first and second generation so thought I'd post this obervation too. TIA for the help!

No, I don't own the racquet, hoping to authenticate before purchasing from a stranger.

title of the thread states post your serial number, so therefore it will not be verified until you purchase the racket.

Sorry, I just read the rules more carefully instead of the web link that brought me here. Darn newbies...

It has got the old Yonex emblem. It doesn't have "JAPAN" written on the bottom of the grip. It has "Square Spot" printed inside the frame. The cone code is not engraved but projects out. The cone code looks a bit weird because the first "3" is printed big and in the place of "0" its a inversed "c". I assumes its a "0".
    Thanks in advance

Note, the serial check is only applicable to rackets produced from 2000 and on.

It's most likely genuine since back at the time, the amount of counterfeits did not start jumping up until the new laser engraves were introduced with the new format.
