Here's part of your anwser. Howabt we wait until the Revelation comes then we can start discussing a Revelation Pro model, even tho dink says there won't be a stiffer version. Speaking of the Revelation, I was looking at Fleet's woven 1000 and it's got me tempted to order a few just because it looks so good.
Maybe because you didn't evenly pack the bag. So one of the compartment is filled with the stuff the other isn't. Therefore the bag collaspe on one side because the material isn't stiff enough to support itself.
Well, this happens even if the bag is empty? And when I carry it as a backpack, some parts of the bag are crumpled that it is not pleasing to the eyes, is that normal?
Some bags can't hold themselves up. So yes if it's empty it'll probably fall to either side. One of my bags can stand up with nothing inside. But my orange apacs one with everything out of the bag, just flops over and compresses on itself. Best thing to do is try to straighten it out by packing stuff into it. IMO
Man... stencils are hard to cut out... Here is my latest one. Man... Looking through the Fleet catalog and they have some interesting shapes for the head of the racket. Also the look of bare woven looks good. Actually, I read somewhere that bare carbon fiber hoods on cars have defects in the resin after exposure to UV. Granted the racket won't get much exposure (if any), but is this something to consider? Will the Revelation be a sort of like a vampire (can't stand sunlight)?
Panda rikie-rikie the stencil! That looks like what Panda's friends call, "Violent Panda!" aka Panda smashing. Normally it's nice, gentle Panda (NGP) with soft clears and dink drops. You hit the nail on the head, "bare" CF may eventually have defects but CF is never bare. They mix add coatings to make the CF resistant to just about everything. If they did not, there would not be CF parts used on main stream automobiles and now aftermarket wheels. Finally, all carbon fiber, woven or otherwise, do not like exposure to heat.
What can I do to restore the painting of my Precision if it got peeled and the silver color of the frame was exposed?
dimcorner, what kind of paint do you use to spray the stencils on the string? Is there also 'bad paint' that can have a bad effect on the string itself, or will any spray paint do the job? Very nice stencil by the way, can you post it here??
dimcorner, could you upload the stencil or did you do it by hand? I'd like to paint that on my Precision to show opponents what they're messing with @Matushki: I use stencil pens, they're available in most online stores under accessories. If you don't find any on badminton shops, try tennis shops - at least in Germany, there are a lot more and nearly all of them offer those pens. I'm not too sure about spray paint, as many kinds contain chemicals that can be damaging to the string. I've never tried them on a racket though, so I don't speak from my own experience. Stencil ink is pretty cheap though, and one pen should last very long, even for ppl like me who break a lot of strings and stencil the Li Ning logo or Pandas on every other racket although my panda looked kind &docile compared to dimcorners...
This stencil looks awesome, I already love when I beat somebody, and he ask; what kind of racket is this, it looks so fast. "You have been beaten by a mean Panda, my friend", you should see their face. I really need that stencil.....
I'll upload a JPG of the stencil this weekend. I made it in photoshop first, then printed out on paper. Then cut out the stencil on the paper and used the paper to transfer to the plastic. Then cut the plastic (it's pretty thick plastic. Bought at craft store under "stencil film") I bought a Gamma "stencil ink" on Amazon. I plan to just buy container of ink next once this one runs out (if the sponge on the end is still good).
The only problem is that when you lose they can make fun of you as much as you can make fun of them when you win
or switch racket to a Yonexxxxx or else before the end ahahah anything to make the Panda look great.. ;o)
It'll be great if that you play with a non PP racket and start losing but then switch to a PP racket and do an ultimate come back. Now that'll be something.
You know what, when I am playing against slower players, or players who are not as much into quick attacks, I also play with Apacs Lethal 70 or 90, which are more powerful but not as quick. When I see that strategy does not work, I often switch to my T2 or PP and change my game strategy, and often with good results.... funny you mentionned.
O you have a apacs Lethal 90! Wanna do a brief comparision as to if the Precision is faster then the L90 for me??? In a singles game I like to start off slow so lose a few points but not more then 5. Then I work from there. Doubles I prefer to all out attack until I get a good few points ahead then I can do some slacking
I am playing mostly doubles and mixtes, getting older singles are taking too much out of me, now. My smash is more medium then very powerful, and my strehgnt are more into speed, net play, good position and shuttle placement. ok my L90 feel lighter then the L70, it is quicker but less powerful then the L70, but different from the PP. My L90 is set up a tad heavier then the PP and BP at 289 compared to 285 for the PP. Despite the BP difference, I have tried the PP at 290, I did not feel the same kind of power with the PP as for the L90. The L90 is not as quick and precise as the PP for drop shots, net shots and push shots, the head is a lot more solid on the PP. Don't take me wrong, I like the L90 a lot also. The L90 is my GO racket against weaker players, or when my partner has less power then I do. The PP and T2 are giving me what I was looking for to react and perform with todays game speed. This is why, I am anxious to give the Revelation a try, since it is supposed to be quick and more powerful then both of them. Wonder if Dink could compared the Revelation to the Apacs L90, it would be a good indication.
