I'm not sure about the BS11 (have never owned one), but my MX80 is head heavier than my BS10. The balance point is also around 3mm higher. But I do definitely get noticeably more powerful smashes from the MX80 compared to the BS10. But the BS10 is still faster. Though not enough for me personally to have any negative impact on my game.

The mx80 may be only a tad head heavier than bs10/11, but it definitely smashes more powerful, likely due to a stronger more stable cross section design. The only compromise is at the expense of a slight reduction in speed, which is only important if you play forecourt a lot.

Kwun, how far along are you with the MX80 review? If you have time, please measure the total length of yours and the BP. I seem to have some freak racket that's longer by 4mm than most. Which I'm actually happy about lol.

But we love you for it! :p

I'll post an in-depth review and comparison with the VT80 later next week if I can. Sooner it arrives, sooner I can compare the two. Reluctant to write a review for the MX80 yet without first trying an ultra head heavy racket.

I've tried all the rackets that you mentioned above

    Balance Point : BS11 > BS10 > MX80 = 298 mm > 296 mm > 293 mm
    Stiffness : MX80 > BS10 > BS11 = 5/5 > 4.5/5 > 4/5
    Power : MX80 > BS11 > BS10
    Speed : BS10 > BS11 > MX80
    Accuracy : MX80 > BS10 > BS11

    ^^^

Which just goes to show that head heaviest does not equate most power... something for Carbotec to chew on.

And, for comparison's sake, factor in the BS12.....

    Balance Point : BS11 > BS10 > MX80 > BS12 = 298 mm > 296 mm > 293 mm > 288 mm
    Stiffness : MX80 > BS10 > BS12 > BS11 = øooOooo > ooøOooo > oooØooo = oooØooo (my 11 is rated the same as the 10 but plays less stiff).
    Power : MX80 > BS12 > BS11 > BS10
    Speed : BS10 > BS12 > BS11 > MX80
    Accuracy : MX80 > BS10 = BS12 > BS11

I just about to ask same thing...the factor of BS12 :)
And looking on what has been rated here...BS12 is well sitted in between MX80 & BS10 and i think i will skip BS11 from my collection...awaiting my BS12&MX80 to be arrived in next few days.

oh. and some leaks about the next MX. it will be a MX70. a even more crispy version of MX80. it will be for even more aggressive play, shorter shaft for higher effective stiffness. the frame will be slimmer with slightly more pronounced square shape.

it maybe too much for me though. the MX80 is already plenty stiff and suits my power level well. i love it.

    Stiffer than mx80! Yikes!
Why? I was hoping it'd be a tad less stiff.

Visor have you tried the SW35? if so how does it compare? I searched the whole thread and still find it inconclusive in terms of SW35 comparison :(

also did you get yours from Tads?

here is my take when adding in the SW35:

    Stiffness : MX80 > SW35 > BS10 > BS12 > BS11 = øooOooo > ooøOooo > oooØooo = oooØooo (my 11 is rated the same as the 10 but plays less stiff).
    Power : SW35 > MX80 > BS12 > BS11 > BS10
    Speed : BS10 > BS12 > BS11 > MX80 > SW35
    Accuracy : MX80 > SW35 > BS10 = BS12 > BS11
