Don't be so hard on Chong Wei. He has just fought one of his best badminton matches. He doesn't deserve more pressure from the MA fans.

Lin Dan has won 4 World and 1 Olympic - the end

I wouldn't count Asian Games (although its a big title it excludes players such as Gade, Johanasen), I wouldn't count teams (even though LD has dominated in these he may have won without playing well and LCW wouldn't win even if he won his matches), I wouldn't go down to SS (AE or otherwise, and the Korean is the biggest currently) as these are lower level events, its like saying a player has won more Grand Prix Gold than lcw

I wouldn't like to be reading "The Star" newspaper tomorrow if I was LCW. I am sure it will be a highly critical article, of how he crumbled after holding match points. LCW should take a holiday, go off somewhere nice, and not think about badminton for a few days. Then come back refreshed and ready to train hard.:)

It's a pity that LCW did not managed to overcome his nemsis this time... I was hoping for him to add the world champ into his already impressive portfolio - 2011: 1 loss before this match.

The Star is actually the least critical of the lot. The malay language newspapers yes.

The gold can go either way. Sure the loss hurts and I dearly want to see him win this one. LCW said he gave his ALL and he did play his best as we saw, and that is good enough for me. He said he will be back prepared for OLY12 and back for WC13, that is great to hear. He knows he is very close to LD. LD even said in Badzine report, he worked his hardest to win this time. If every malaysian players worked as hard as LCW and not at the buffet table, I am sure that would be good enough to justify the funding invested in badminton. But unfortunately, that is not the case. The failure from the rest of the players and the joy seekers going to London at tax-payers expense, the accountability, falls on the high paid coaches, high paid and clueless staff, and the person/persons at the top of the buffet table...this has to go, otherwise Malaysian badminton is done. Not one word of criticism on BAM comes from the newspapers, are they silenced or just not seeing the pink elephant with her butt standing right in front of the forest and still looking for that tiny ant to fry, or what?

Very well said, he already tried his best in yesterday's match. But in badminton there is only a winner, and that guy is lin dan of china yesterday. Felt sad for Lee Chong wei. I have no words to explain his feelings over there in the plane now. But i'm sure all the MAS fans would be smart enough to understand his situation. He should get some rest. He deserves a pat on his back for all his hard work en route for the WC.

..i think LD wasn't no.1 the entire time from 2004 til 2007. If i recall, there were a few weeks when LCW was ranked no.1..
LCW from 2008 til now has held on to his no.1 ranking continuously..

Yo boys n girls, LCW have done his best best, in the form of his life way i n most ppl see it. He will win titles, many of them & the one that matters, the ones that will make him great, he will not win. Thats life...
LD have won everything...i think? He says he win for his country (medal events) & he delivered in full with interest.
LCW also said b4, want to win for country, well he won nearly all $ events, medal events (for coutry)...have to check records??? Semis WC, he kissed supposedly malaysian flag on his chest, looks like he kissed ASTRO??
Big head, fancy head watever u call him KKK, stop all yr excuses!!!
