will there be any counterfeit yonex string too ? example BG66UM... i think the quality won't be so lousy...as you guys said.. just for 2 weeks..
1) will there be any counterfeit yonex string too ? --- Yes, definitely. In fact, a lot in the market. 2) i think the quality won't be so lousy...as you guys said.. just for 2 weeks --- Its the nature of the string, mostly due to its thickness (0.65mm), normally it starts to lose tension slowly after 2 weeks.
but what i get from my coach yesterday was.. he told me the yonex BG66UM is selling RM 69 outside.... even he give me discount also need RM 65 for it...so.. i wondering those BG66UM selling at outside around RM 30 is it original ? or my coach sellign overprice ? he told me his cost is higher than RM 40..
Even an Imported JP coded one we sell is only RM50 each including Peninsular courier charges. RM69.... its not ONE packet right? Market price for a SP coded BG66UM is roughly around RM30-35 including stringing cost.
.... xD then i don't know lor.. maybe my coach need to earn more money and sell at higher price..... who knows..but i will still going back to the shop i bought my racket.. i love his stringing job. says... any different between the imported JP and SP coded ?
Well... that's almost DOUBLE he earned... tried JP & SP coded 66UM, better durability and slightly more solid feeling for the JP. But tats my own personal feeling bout it and the rest might have different opinions on it.
The cost of bg66um at most is around 30rm max. So, whoever sold you + stringing cost must have cut your throat big time.
xD lucky i didn't string my racket from my coach.. i just ask the string performance cause i saw many people complaint about this BG66UM not good.. i had my nanospeed strung BG66UM with 26lbs around 5 months ago.. can feel the tension had losen but still ok for playing. strung my fleet F-99 with 26 lbs together that day i bought my arcsaber 10, strung with 27lbs.. playing till now almost 5 weeks.. still ok.. still can feel the freshy sound xD and smell.. means, i think i still will stick to BG66UM.. but i might want to try the JP coded.
Anyone has compared BG66UM ( not JP version ) with Victor VS-850? how's the repulsion+tension loss? Actually i'm quite happy with VS-850.. it's just the tension loss that makes me want to search for another string..
Love the BG66UM's@24x26 feel on first week.. second week feel dead and fourth week its broke already.. not for me
mine alrdy feels blunt now ): i think i should stick with bg 66 instead.. bg66UM loses its tension far too quickly >.<
Wow! I love bg66um, by far the best string i have came across imo, but had to stop using them as they would snap after 2-3 sessions and all of the other centre strings frayed. I only had them strung at 24lb by very reputable stringer. My questions to you is how on earth did you get these strings to last five months rather than 1 week? and why do you use such a high string tension when you must not hit that hard? or am i missing something/got summit wrong?
How long are your sessions? I restrung my racket about 1-2 months ago with BG66UM at 25lbs and only broke this week on monday
about two hours or less- usually doubles on 2 nights for two hours and singles one night for 1 hour. Wow that is great 2 months, no string i have used has lasted that long never mind bg66um. Still alanwong76 got them to last five months which must be some kinda record. Whats your trick then?
I dont know what I do I just play badminton for about 5 hours a week thats why im surprised you use your BG66UM for a few weeks
My housemate strings my racquets, sticking with BG80 for now because they're a bit more durable than 66UM which lasted only 1 2 hour session with me.
Lasted for 2 month for me with my VT 70, tension 23/25 lbs, played for 6hrs per week, I noticed mostly my string snap at far side of the frame. Just need to improve to hit birdie more accurate at sweetspot and it could prolonged the string life ( in my opinion) btw I always restring my rackets after 3 months.
