someone already reviewed NS9900 vs NR700 RP: NR :more focused for doubles, faster pullback stroke, less momentum/power, less joint pain than NS9900 nanospeed is overall thinner but more power, can be used for singles. Overall Rank: NS9900 > Ti-10 > NR 700 RP Power: (Ti-10 = NS9900) > NR 700 RP Defense: NS9900 > (Ti-10 = NR 700RP) Feel: Ti-10 = NS9900 = NR700RP Control: (Ti-10 = NR700RP) > NS9900 Maneuverability: NS9900 > NR700RP> Ti-10
So what we're saying is that overall, the NR700RP loses to the NS9900 in pretty much every department?
Has anyone bothered to measure the actual Balance Points of these two models? Enquiring minds want to know.
well, control wise NR700RP > NS9900 and if you have elbow joint problem, it's much better i didnt review it, read it from www.badmintan.com
oops, badmintan.blogspot.com review http://badmintan.blogspot.com/2011/09/yonex-nanoray-700-rp-review.html comparison http://badmintan.blogspot.com/2011/09/headlight-racquets-ti-10-vs-ns9900-vs.html
I think that Badmintan guy is a bit biased. People who like the Ti-10 that much are clearly zealots and can't be trusted
So that's a dry balance of around 295-300mm? Pretty head heavy for a head light balance around the same as my Arc 8dx.
There is no point to get NS9000 if you are looking to increase your "speed" from NS9900. Maybe NS9000S is a a teeny tiny bit quicker but won't help you much. Maybe you should've gotten a 4U NR, they didn't make them lighter for nothing ... Why are you asking him ? He only copied what was written on Badmintan's blog ... " ... i used karakal pu grip and wrapped untill cone. " . Since when does 295 = 295-300mm ? My AT700 is ~300mm, SW35's as well iirc ... (in contrast my 8DX is ~290mm)
I was trying to extrapolate the dry balance of the racket. I can't be so precise as to say 298.3 mm so I gave a range. In my experience, adding string and overgrip (w/o removing original grip) decreases the balance, thus I added 5mm to the dry balance.
In my experience strings add 10mm which happens to coincide with a finding on the badmintoncn forum in a 700RP 3UG5 review I'm just reading. It was 290 dry, 300 after adding the BG65 and down to 295 after adding an overgrip like so: And for more coincidences my 8DX was 300mm as well with BG65 and only the original grip on . Kinda depends on how far you wrap it and how much overlap and which string. But still it's higher than you'd expect from looking at the chart only for this NR700.
295 is headlight these days!?!?! Man you guys suck! Everytime I go into a shop and see the NR700RP I want to buy it on looks alone, and now you're telling me it's net BP is 295!! Argh!!
I measure balance point of my n700fx at 295mm is on it wet weight. Balance point is depend on your racket wet weight. May be you confuse between head balance and balance point.
imo...by increasing or lowering the balance point from the dry weight of the racket, it will not effecting the racket head balance..
