For some feedback from players, asics gel is comfort to wear, but when landing that time, you will feel your feet like touch the floor. and they still prefer yonex SHB series..
LOL............ KEN_KL MSIA - a phone call cannot cost so much to you, and what is the problem asking price ? you feel shy to do it ?
Nope bro, you misunderstood. I did buy the SHB-92MX, just that the offer for the camouflage top/bottom promo for RM50 is currently outta stock. Anyway, I also went to Pertama Complex, Puchong (AJ/Racquet World) and Bangi (Hock Eng/Pertama) look-see too. Damn tired now...
Owh. Ok.. Ok. My bad bro. How much the price at Pertama Complex, Puchong (AJ/Racquet World) and Bangi (Hock Eng/Pertama)?
Well... this was my adventures. Do note that I was looking out mostly for Yonex shoes/apparel so didn't take note of racquet range. 1st day: Went to Pertama Complex - checked out Racquet World, the store beside the dedicated Li Ning store (is this Etakoh?) and Perfect Sports. Wanted to buy power cushion shoes together with my wife to get better discount, but alas they all don't have women sizes (US 6.5). I think RW has the widest range of mid/high-end YY shoes though. I was actually quite peeved at RW, when I walked in, the staff told me 10-20% off for shoes. I said ok... looked around and returned later. I picked up a SHB-85LTD (printed RM4xx, handwritten RM360), ask them what is the best price, the fella said RM350?! I got a feeling that he saw I was not from KL and was trying pull a fast one (maybe my YY Tee and bag "advertise" my keeness unwittingly ). When I pointed out that a discount of RM10 *IS NOT* even 10%, he mumbled that the original price was RM4xx. Was put off and said thanks and walked off. 2nd day: Funny thing was we actually intended to go KD Sports, but alas... the winding roads of KL confused me, and somehow we ended up driving southwards of KL, so we decided to change plans and go Puchong instead. We exited at the correct exit off Puchong H'way, but had a difficult time finding Jln. Puteri 4... (sections not located numerical order and no clear signs) ^!@#%!#%. Spent 45min almost gave up, but a helpful guy we asked pointed out the right direction to us unwittingly. On afterthought, I shd have asked the bystanders where was MBA hall.. silly me. Checked out both AJ and Racquet Zone but they didn't have what I want. Though we did get a pair of socks, so the entire "treasure-finding exercise" wasn't in vain... haha. Was undaunted so drove north to Times Sports. Bought LCW's shoes as stated above... Alex is a nice and helpful fella. 3rd day: Driving back but since will pass by Bangi, decided to exit the NS H'way briefly. Pertama Sports - range is so-so only. Hock Eng was better, but their SHB-92MX is RM17 more exp than Times. Also, they were selling the SHB-85LTD at RM299 (vs RW's RM350 above!!), so my suspicions about RW was proven right after all. That's all. PS: I used Maverick maps (free app) to navigate KL and the suburbs. VERY useful for out-of-towners... as you can load the map caches beforehand (at home or using hotel Wifi) and input the appropriate GPS coords, so NO data charges are incurred at all.
anyone have any feedback the stringing job? i know KD is good.... Times Sports as good if not better?
