6 years already since we started Titans. It's good to see that most of the people from the initial group is still attending. Anthony, thanks for reminding us. Always glad to reflect on the last 6 years and look forward to the next 6 years. I think by 2018 many of our kids will be picking up their own rackets and joining us.
If anyone is interested to play on Wednesday night (8pm - 10:30pm) at Waverley Christian College, near the Glen Shopping Centre, please let me know. Normally the Wednesday session does not take new players, however the organiser has advised me that there are now some spots left. Once confirmation of these spots are filled the Wednesday night session will most likely be closed to new players again. Like Titans there is a minimum skill requirement. You must be at least C grade.
and by C GRADE we mean not C grade in Bangladesh or hell even Tassie - C grade in Vic Open is minimum standard!!
Robbo is a D ++ =) I miss you guys and titans a lot. On my next trip I will make it a must to come and have a game with you guys.
No worries Robbo, due to our affection to your white lightning skills, Titans will still accept you even you are a D Grader....
Who is this Blurry D character calling me D++ grade ??? Sir - I challenge you to a Singles duel to defend my honour as best all time C grade champion of the universe Well like we always say, C grade is the bare minimum, except if you are old like me, or a young hot chick any grade can come join us
Sorry just got your message. We will be playing every Saturday night. I will post a message a few days prior if the venue is not available. Ash
Goodluck all the Titans going to Geelong next weekend - particularly our D grade champs who should clean up the trophies again HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No social badminton 28/4/12 Due to many of our players attending the Geelong tournament there will be no social badminton on the 28/4/12.
Gee I HOPE you guys weren't sandbagging now..as an honourable TITAN CLUB member, we must present ourselves beyond repute and if I find out you or Vien on purpose chose to win D grade at Geelong, when you could have easily won B grade, I will lodge a protest with BV Once the protest is lodged with BV, the process will follow as: 1. Ignored and deleted 2. Ignored and left at bottom of inbox 3. Read and deleted 4. Read, announced that a NEW SYSTEM will be implemented to stop sandbagging, then no further action 5. Some joker will start up a BC thread called Sandbagging and create a mass orgy for their own amusement again 6. Trophy will still sit safely in your cupboard, all will be forgotten and you will win D grade again next year 7. Process repeats from Step 1
AMAZING NEWS!!! READ ALL ABOUT IT!!! Central Badminton Association (CBA) run by the great man himself Gary - has created a precedent and regraded those pranksters Anthony and Vien (worst trophy hunters of all time) from their original D grade entries to B grade to ensure they won't be touching ANY TROPHY at the CBA tournament in June!! Now we need to start putting pressure on the other Victorian tournament committees to take this strong action and set a shining light in this sandbagging darkness over Melbourne!!
When I look thru the results from Geelong, Vien and his partner did lose to the eventual winner in C Grade. How can this be sand bagging? It all comes down to the luck of the draw. To say that sand bagging has occured, this is simply outrageous!!
AND I am sure the C grade winners were trophy hunters and could have competed in B grade...and I am sure the B grade winners could have competed in A grade...and I am sure the A grade winners could have competed in Open grade...and I am sure the D graders could have played...oh wait, nah they were not good enough to play C grade and won D fairly. Now who will join me for a good old fashion hanging? We are taking our pitchforks and all going to attend CCC social on Friday, should be fun!!
