    Sony takes the first-set 21-16!

Tommy also takes the first-set 21-9.

    From leading 14-7, then 19-16 to lose 19-21 in the rubber-set. Well-done Suci/Della!

So, no INA rep in WD tomorrow.

Tommy Sugiarto [3] cruises to QF as expected with an easy victory today. One more victory needed before the expected test against LCW on Saturday.

Good effort by Sony Dwi Kuncoro in upsetting the second-seed Nguyen Tien Minh 21-16, 21-16! He will now face the winner between Wei Nan and Takuma Ueda [5]

    There goes Liew Daren.
His stamina still seems to be suspect after playing 3 games this morning...

HTH/TWK vs GVS/LKW. Who will win? :) Gonna be a close one I think.

MAS Thomas Cup's 2nd pair and reserve pair, too bad they have to meet in early rounds...

GVS/LKW have a pretty bad record playing against any of their compatriots. I won't be surprised at all if HTH/TWK win!

Just look-in today and was surprised by a few results: NTM lost to Sony, there goes my other prospective finalist; Mitani,a chris' favourite I supposed and one of my other expected finalist, ousted by unheralded Xing Aiying; Darren Liew, even more of a surprise, upset by Prannoy (who?);Bela, one of INA's new crop of talents met with failure at T K Chan's hand.

In the MS, I cannot imagine anybody other than Lee CW taking the title here, he really cannot afford to let his narrow defeat at Shon's hand break his spirit and set off a downward spiral,by hook or by crook he must redeem himself with a resounding though expected victory, nothing less - I've faith in him.

In the WS, will Sindhu,a young hopeful, sail into the final? Seeing the second round unforeseen or unanticipated outcomes, I'm not so sure about that now. Expect the unexpected. Still, can't helped but hazard a guess - Sindhu (maybe TK Chan has a fighting chance?) and Aprilla/Nozomi final.

    Rendy/Afiat take the first-set 24-22, despite losing a 11-6 lead.

as seen the MD draw, all MAS pairs have secure the bottom half, that means one of them will be on road to final. Meanwhile at top half only either INA or KOR pair will fight for suvival in MAS hostplace......

Yohanes Rendy Sugiarto/Afiat Yuris Wirawan lost in 3-sets :( So, only 5 INA rep in the QF: 2 in MS, 1 in WS, and 2 in XD.

Wow, seems like Sony Kuncoro is coming back to form, after being injured for so long. Just in time for Thomas Cup :D:D. He will be a very strong 3rd Singles for Indonesia if he can get back to his old form and stamina :).
I can't think of any countries with a strong & reliable 3rd Singles except for China & Denmark (for Thomas Cup 2012).
Hope Sony can get to the Final and meet LCW, then we will have a better gauge of Sony's form. :)
