i want one that has the tradition adidas logo just so it's adidas, but i want the dragon racket because of it's very unique graphics, plus the scales are "3D"!!

now if the racket has a built in torch for the dragon breath, then i can use it as a cigar lighter!!!! that would be awesome!!

Personally, it don't matter to me if the graphics design has a dragon or a scantily clad Megan Fox on it, or bare matte black... as long as it has good power, repulsion, feel, etc. :p

Yes, of course. Playability aside, the standard Adidas geometrical/minimalistic style is so expected and inflated that i associate it with cheap warehouse stuff. From what i read here the perception of the brand could be different in asia, seems it has a good reputation there.

The dragon style was unexpected and the graphics with all the clouds and scales does not look as "lieblos" (loveless?, i mean looks like the designer invested some love, hope you understand), compared to their minimalistic approach.

I'm sure it's minimal but wouldn't those scales create drag on the racket?

No, on the contrary, the effect would be like dimples on a golf ball... to disturb the boundary layer of laminar flow.

First you want a scanning electron microscope, now you want a wind tunnel... how hard is it to review strings and rackets? :p

To difficult to judge without data, eh?

The scales do look nice but the edges and corners are "stress concentration points"; thus quite prone to cracks and breaking....

We should have a poll for your favourite Adidas racket once the models are out in the market.

Answering kwun's question, I prefer the more minimalistic adidas design, although I really like the dragon on the p88 as well. But the adipower and adizero pro are just brilliant in my eyes....maybe a slight overreaction on my part as I like the brand (can't understand those that view it as 'cheap' or 'warehouse').
Also a bonus that those rackets look amazing with red (adipower)/yellow (adizero) strings :D

You guys are like giddy little girls going to the mall to shop clothes. I never even considered the fashion sense in badminton (rackets) before this forum.

Man you must be a really mature and masculine person. So grown-up of you to ignore the looks of your racket...!
But seriously, I don't think many ppl here buy rackets based on looks. Looks are just a bonus. If I thought the Precision 88 was the racket for me, I would get it, although I think the adipower and adizero pro look better. That we discuss the looks in depth is owed to the fact that we can't discuss anything else as the rackets aren't available yet ;)
Believe me, I'd much rather discuss the performance of the adipower pro than sit here and wait for August. But in the meantime, I'll admire the looks. If you think that's girlish, you're more than welcome to come here and have a match to see if I play that way ;)

It seems like Addidas is postponing the launching date.
Today is 2/28 and the website shows it still has 14 days to go.
