Hmm... I don't have those rackets but I've hit a few with my friend's. XP60 is slightly stiffer than former and much stiffer than latter.
That's good then, i'm looking for a punchier version of the LYD. Hm but i'm cautious of buying a racket that's too stiff for me. Not sure what to get now.
I've never tried a MX80 but the stiffest racket I have (by far) is the Zelm Ultimate Power. Gosh, that thing barely flexes at all! It is STIFF!!!
The same with the Mx80. In fact it only flexes on a very few select shots - a really good kill or a really hard smash for me. Despite me bending pretty much any other racket with other shots like my BH clear (which I play too much from the wrist and fingers) I can really not feel it bend at all on those shots. On the plus side it's the most controlled racket I've ever played with. Concerning Zelm - that brand is dead, isn't it? I tried contacting the guy who sold them here, but never received a reply. The thread is barren as well and they never had a decent website...
I have just ordered a XP-60 87g bp300, cant wait to try it. I think it is gonna be easy to deal with the the very stiff shft, as Im used to Forza I will post some pics when I get it
I don't know why but the 4u I measured at the store was 84.3g 291mm, whereas the 3u was 90.1g 300mm!! Even just dry swinging that at the store it felt like a beast!!
Received my XP-70 today as well as my BS12-N from Eric today and played for over 2 hours with both rackets. Unfortunately it was a weird day and wasn't able to play any really good quality matches so I can properly evaluate how I feel plus I had picked the package up from the post office on my way to play so I was unable to overgrip it. The XP-70 is G2 which is supposed to be equivalent to Yonex G5 but with the BS12 which was also G2, the XP-70 felt like a Yonex G4 instead. Maybe the stock grip is just thicker.... Initial impressions is that it feels solid similar to how my MX-JJS felt. My XP-70 is 87g/300mm BP strung with ZM65 @ 24lbs! I will update more once I play more but it's going to be a while cause I want to play more with the BS12 as well.
Nice!!! be playing with the BS-12N lately and thinking of getting a XP-70 myself to see if it's any difference between it and the MX-60. looking forward to your review on the two.
To be honest, I suffered no timing issues with the BS12 and XP70 coming from the TK8000. But both of them feel a little stiffer probably because they are not as head heavy. I regripped both my Thrusters yesterday and got a better idea of the BP and they both were around 305mm.
how is the speed in defense on XP-70 vs. BS-12N... I would believe the XP-70 will have a lot more power.
