New XD pair Terry Hee and Fu Mingtian succeeded in overcoming INA pair of Alvent and Rizki, 21-13, 18-21, 21-13, Quite an achievement I think.
Olympic Champion LXR is always an exception. But upsets do happen and if LXR is not taking the SO seriously as reported previously, then others of lower rank will have a chance. Maybe Saina's luck will change for the better here.
This girl Prajakta Sawant appears to be making Gopi's case more eloquently than Gopi himself could ever have made....
After much thought and careful consideration, I've come to the conclusion that there is only one title for H S Prannoy that fits him.... "Raging Bull."
Xing Aiying moves into the next segment of qualifications after overcoming Millicent Wiranto in 3 games.... WD pair of MJ/TJH have gone a bit off the boil since late last year's heroics. This could be the event where they rediscover their winning ways....
There's still hope yet for Ashton who is leading Prannoy in the rubber 18-12. Yes Ashton won 19-21, 21-19, 21-12. But he has to prove his worth later in the afternoon whether he is of main draw material.
Singapore's hope is still alive... Ashton chen won the match against Prannoy.. Prannoy seems to be so lagging in the third game..

After two close games, local MS Ashton Chen YZ took the decider comfortably against Indian player Prannoy H.S., 19-21 / 21-19 / 21-12.
Meanwhile another SIN new XD of Yi Liu & Shinta lost narrowly to the Germans Johannes & Johanna in G1 21-23 with the latter smashing home winners. Now if the SIN pair wants to win they must return the compliments in G2 and hopefully G3 too. But can they sustain?
Surprisingly SIN two other new XD pair of Terry Yeo & Yao Lei and Tan Zi Jian & Dellis Yuliana also passed the initial test by disposing of MAS/IND pair of MohdRazif Abdul Latif & Prajakta Swant 21-16, 22-20 and SIN/THA combo of Chayut Triyachart & Munkitamorn 21-18, 21-19 respectively. I observe that Chayut has been without a SIN partner in both MD and XD for a few tournaments and it doesn't seem healthy. I wonder what was wrong?
Sure sure, PVS is better than all of JS/TTY/YPY/MM But hey, Saina is god, right? So what's there to worry about?
