Only one super series win , is this Pair the best : no, they must continue keep winning to prove they are really to take over Tan Boon Keong /Koo. I feel the best is still Tan Boon Keong/Koo when they are under Rexy.
They only beat one seeded team en route to the final. Other seeded teams are clear by the Indonesian. Think it is not time for them to take over.
some luck. Liew Daren once win a SS tournament. and everyone now is pretty much believe thats the only one off performance in his career.
Well, I think their action is a bit too much... just a bit though. I somehow can accept what they are trying to do, psychologically... Trying to provoke your opponent so that your opponent will feel agitated and tend to make more mistakes. Anyway, I think the umpire should warn them if it is not permitted, which I think the MAS pair was warned once. All I can say is that I have not been so excited in watching a Malaysian pair playing for a long time. This game is just exciting and entertaining.
Let's see how the other important matches from this year like , Thomas Cup, All England, Sudirman Cup, China Open , World Championship. If they can wipe all these titles, I will consider they are better than Tan Boon Keong /Koo.
congrats. if lkw fix his serve problem, they might be title contender ~~~ if not, they will end up like chan ps(lousy server as well)/goh ly,might win some title on their good day. never be a top pair.
They have the desire to win but not the skillset to be top like kootan yet. their game is new to the world, opponents has not figure out how to play them yet. both of them not super talented like kootan, they would have to emulate bomo style of play
Goh V Shem is the driving force of the pair.....the best doubles plyr produced by Malaysia for a long time.....if LKW is not gd enough for him....a new partner needs to be found fast for Rio Olympics !!
Their antics on court was quite annoying to watch. Reminds me a lot of Boe/Mo, and that is absolutely not a compliment. From what I saw, when ever LKW won a point he'd go for the walk up to the net and death stare. Thought it was an excellent match, but they shouldn't delude themselves that this is acceptable behavior anywhere other than their home stadium. It's simply revolting to see that they run up to their opponents when they win a game and wave their hands mockingly to Hong Wei. Some say even Lin Dan used to be similar, but I don't think he's ever mocked his opponent like that. The factor that differentiates a champion and a hooligan is their accept a challenge and take it sportingly. Pumping fists, yelling, and shouting are all acceptable as long as it's direct towards yourself no matter how outlandish it can appear. But to lack the discipline to control your own emotions and directly threaten your opponents is unsporting. I am happy that Malaysians are winning with their home crowd, but if their antics continue, I'm more than happy to see them lose.
LKW is always cocky. GVS used to be a more decent person. In yesterday's match, he is even worse. Sigh. Somehow I feel that INA and KOR players can always stay calm.
Fully agree with being disappointed by their hot-headed taunting behaviour. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth... like Boe/Mo. Would be horrible if younger players start to emulate them.
He's just too nervous. I'm sure he can serve perfectly during practice, but not when under pressure. Which reminds, Cheng Wen-Hsing (TW XD player) is even worse!
my goodness she was terrible with service under pressure which only emphasizes how good she is other than serving, or she wouldn't have been been world #1 in WD
