The first target in 2014 for Ahsan/Setiawan should be All England, this oldest tourney is so elusive, even when Hendra Setiawan paired up with Markis Kido, they failed to win AE title. Last year, they stopped at semifinal by the eventual winner Liu XL/Qiu ZH, hopefully they can make it this year
Congratulations Ahsan for hist first baby...!! It's a baby girl... What a great news to start the new year!! src: http://badmintonindonesia.org/app/information/newsDetail.aspx?/2421
Just wondering, Mohd Ahsan's smash is so power, is it due to: 1) His strength, 2) The racket or 3) The right way to smash?
I'd say, despite his FB racket. His smash placement is very smart and he is powerful for sure, but he has been paying a price for all this smashing in the form of an intermittent shoulder injury over the past 6 months or so.
thank you, for the life of me i could not remember what he was using and i realized i didn't really paid much attention to him when he first started partnering with setiawan until he became better with more experience.
Congrats to Ahsan/Setiawan for first ever MVP title News article : http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2014/01/29/hendraahsan-get-first-ever-mvp-title.html

I hope Ahsan/Hendra could win their first ever All England Gold Medal. There is a big possibility of it and they should be able to grab it as they have what it takes. Both Hendra and Kido never won AE together as a pair. Hope one of them will win this year. Whoever wins today wins tomorrow.
Ahsan/Sandra's style of play is not exciting to watch unlike Kido/Gideon's always smashing type of play. It is damn efficient. Make the rally short, do not lift up, variation of smash and drop side-by-side, cross-court. Both players are capable to stand in the front.
ahsan/hendra are so good in the first 3-5shots, there wont be long rallies, unless opponents can match their 3-5first shots. its like zerg rush, if you cant defend the early attack, there is no chance for long game
