Such a huge country, and just one international-level stadium for SS tourneys!

It's unfortunate for Arvind bhat.. If he qualifies to main draw, he need to face Lee Chong Wei.. Bad luck..

    This draw is...interesting.

Sindhu to face WSX, Porntip to face WYH. Not looking too good for WSX.

Also good to see KSR and Yoo competing again.

Can't wait to see whether Tang YuanTing is for real. If she and YY can get pass the qualifier in the first round, their next opponent may be the all conquering BYX/TJH. MJ/WXL might be the semi-final opponent but it would be a tall order for both to get there.

Tang YuanTing also debuts in XD at the SS level with Kang Jun who was a two time national XD champion. Realistically, they will go no more than one round.

A good thing they won't meet Jwala/Ashwini too early. Otherwise they'd certainly lose- wouldn't be able to stop laughing long enough to get themselves off the floor.

On a more serious note- will LXR overcome her bubblegum streak?

No need to lose sleep on LXR, last WC taught her a good lesson. She will not lose to non-Chinese in the foreseeable future, especially in the major tournaments.

Interesting..i never knew Kang Jun was a 2 time national XD champion. I've only seen him in the MD and always felt he was not a very good player.

Who did Kang Jun partner with in the XD and who did he beat in the finals?

I'm now very interested to see how he does with Tang yuanting.

She just doesn't want to beat her teammates unless it is necessary.

Nothing is guaranteed, that is how I feel after She won the Olympic. Correct me if I am wrong, she had lost more matches to Chinese than the rest of the world. That is the pattern I saw after the Olympic.:)

Meanwhile, H.S.Prannoy vs ChenLong in the first round.. Very very unfortunate to this youngster. Let's see how many points he gets against formidable opponent.
