I had read many things about the Victor MX 60 Yet after only 5 months of play (2x week, 4h per week in total), it broke. I have no idea how it hapened. I've been ever so careful with it, protected the sides with tape. I play doubles sometimes, and mustve clashed it twice. Not big clashes, just hit at low velocity partners racquet. I've clashed many racquets like that many many times, nothing ever happened (apart from a slight paint chip).. Yet, after the 2nd clash, my mx60 broke! Tension was only 21lbs! I used it in a singles match, made a few hits, and I was absolutely gutted when i saw how deformed it was! It cracked at the 1oclock position! Have you similar experiences with victor racquets being so fragile? I've played BlackKnight, Yonex, never had an issue, my racquets have always died of old age! Any feedback/comments is welcome!
I have 3 mx60s - played with 2 of them lots and no issues. As soon as you have any clash, all bets are off if you hit a weak spot. Not only did you clash, you clashed more than once...
I understand, some people have broken their amazing rackets out of the box with the first shuttle and clash. I understand thrashing your racquet against the floor, you should not expect much...However, i insisted that they were small clashes... and i believe clashes are part of doubles games (until you reach a higher level, that is ^^) so I was shocked to see that a racquet could break with so little abuse. Anyway, it might be bad luck, but i loved my MX-60.. and now left without one! Thanks for your feedback! May I ask why you have 3x MX 60? ^^
