A relatively quick and easy semifinal winning for KOR team to score 3-0 against TPE, all three matches were finished by straight-sets.

    MD1, Le YD/Yoo YY def. Lee SM/Tsai CH, 21-10 / 21-13

China has many talented Mens doubles, they could field Liu XL/Qiu ZH, or Chai Biao/Hong Wei, or Cai Yun/Fu HF, or Fu HF/Zhang Nan ... all are well established doubles.

But instead, they sent Xu Chen / Zhang Nan, a totally scratch pair never played before. Why so confident like that? The only explanation is that Xu Chen/Zhang Nan have extremely high level in training. Otherwise, they won't do that.

LYB needs to get ZN into the MD rankings.

Clearly this guy has talent. Being able to play with Xu Chen or Fu Haifeng. I'd love to see him play with Hong Wei as well.

CHN v MAS, 2-0. The unpredictable CHN scratch pair, Xu/Zhang defies the odd and delivered victory, def. Tan/Hoon, 14-21 / 21-15 / 21-10.

A must win situation and very huge burden to Chong Wei Feng who will take on China ace Lin Dan.

Not bad, a surprise win by Xu Chen/Zhang Nan against TBH/HTH who were more error-prone esp in the rubber set.

MAS lost MD1 in a rubber and is now 2 down to CHN. Chong Wei Feng now faces a massive task to beat Lin Din in MS2.

Looks like LD is still rusty, hitting out several times.

CWF now trails 6-13, after LD made up for his mistakes with a number of attacking play.

Oops, I lost my streaming CCTV 5.

    Last count, LD leads 16-7.

Looks like a hopeless cause for CWF as it is hopeless for me to revive my streaming. :(

I counted 5 unforced errors from LD in the first set (there may have been more since I only saw a part of the first set). One was an easy smash that went into the net, one was a smash out, two were easy shots at the net, and the last was a baseline clear that went too long. I don't think LD is at his best but then again, he doesn't have to be against CWF.

TO CWF's credit, LD is going all out smashing. LD isn't playing his defensive, rally style today. I think LYB and China's coaches told LD not to put China's reputation on the hook so they made LD play aggressive.

If this were a GP or SS event, LD would probably play his defensive, rally style.
