Well that´s a good sign. But to be proven consistent against the best MS players he has to show good results in the next tournaments / next year.
There are quite a few players who can beat LD, LCW or CL on a very few occasions, but then again lose in first or second round way to often.
    KT again lost early.
I hope or better would like to see Son Wan Ho to be a consistent finalist, but he also does not have consistent results.

I hope we see a all India battle tomorrow...
I wish PK outclass his opponent TS...nothing can be Said regarding Tanongsak's performance he sometimes turn on his gear...I wish PK manages to do this after all this tourney will decide his position in rankings greatly moreover he should make it a doublet for INS in SSF :)

Well we can call CTC as consistent lately but on a long time period its doubtful...

She's 21 y.o and PB Tangkas club player. Too bad she's already lost to Tee Jing Yi.

It's very hard to be a consistent player and yeah really surprised that Son WH was sent packing by Chong WF at first round of CHN SSP last week since he did well lately.

Tough opening round for current WChamp Carolina Marin who spent 56 mins to eliminate TPE Hsu Ya Ching. On paper, she's slated to meet Wang YH at last eight.

Well, I remember commentators comparing him to Akane Yamaguchi. Both great talents, but haven't been consistent, may be because they are young. It will take some time before KS becomes a REAL threat.

However, what KS did is already something. Since 2009 NOBODY other than LCW has beaten LD in a SS finals.(and even LCW did it last in January 2012 ). Also, LCW hasn't beaten LD in China during this period. Even CL has never beaten LD in 6 attempts. For India to win both the singles event in China was something.

I hope so too. Tanongsak is not an easy opponent though.
How much does PK need to do here to join KS in Dubai SSF?

I watched Srikanth and Chou battle it out. It was a very cat and mouse game.

Both players were very calm. Srikanth hit about 5 net kills into the net. A couple of those are what made the second game so tight.

Srikanth's net play was marginally better. All in all, a very good victory for him.

Ajay, oh dear. Once Chen Long got the range of Ajay's shots, that was it.

Well one of the mate here posted a full long requisites list for PK to qualify well it included
He should go till SF atleast..
KT and KM/TS should loose in R1..
HKV and Hu hun shouldn't go ahead then PK (if I recalled all of them correctly)
KTand KM already lost Hu hun about to loose..its tough match for TS and VA won so if PK reaches SF anyhow he'll double the IND chances in MS in Dubai later this year..I pray for the same ;)

Michelle Li looked a bit tired in the second game. Apparently she has had quite a hectic schedule recently. Perhaps she lacked some training time.

You saw him playing isn't it!!
So do you think his today's gameplay is enough to def TS in SF..
Although I pray for PK to reach SF and TS to loose today from the hands of home fav AG bronze medalist Wei Nan

You are expecting too much from PK. Even if he wins today, it will be very tough fir him tomorrow against KS unless KS gives him walkover.

    Yui hashimoto sealed g1 narrowly..
It was quite interesting to see my fav second stringer again exchanging good rallies and her stroke play stunned RI completely inspire of good recovery from former WC it wasn't enough to betray our surprise package from her fragile lead in the end...
Let's see if YH is capable of denying RI to impose the biggest upset of this opening day...
SDK looks good. I wonder who is he managing to do that after such a long break from superior tourneys.

Haha good thought.. But Ind don't follow those dirty tactics to get up to the mark...
Oh I don't recall anything like that..I said I pray that PK does it..well I am not expecting him to stop the tornado single handedly.. He is more mature and steady then KS he make less UE moreover he knows KS's game well and its evidently shown in their meeting at some domestic tourney shown at DD sports recently (it wasn't live though),....well praying for miracles is free of coat still on this rapid world of increasing prices

Tough question! Yes. I think Srikanth can take it if it came to a matchup. There is obviously a lot of Srikanth I haven't seen yet. Like how would he cope against a very attacking player or one that plays to the net.

As I mentioned before somewhere else, there is a vacuum in men's singles to be filled. Which player (s) is/are hungry enough to take it?
