Actually.. And even the shorts were weird..
She didn't seem to be dressed up for a badminton tournament..
    She played well of course!!
But I thought she was scared of SN :p
She can be a rising star..especially the forehand flick she played was fab..

Seen some Chinese people shout for Malaysia when it was Malaysia vs China pair. Not just one time either. Why can't an Indian support a player of their choice?

Going to the lighting, I think your point is a good one and that BWF should be addressing in their standards of venue requirements for Superseries tournaments.

Just my personal opinion. No offense here. Once I have a few friends who shared this to me. Well, if I know that a certain player will surely lose the match, I will not support that player although that player may be from the country that I am staying. I feel that the cheering from the crowd is only a plus point and act as a supporting factor in matches. In order to win in a match, a player must have good skills, stamina and good net play, smashes etc... If a player needs to depend on the cheering crowd to win it would be bad. How I just wish that people are back to the good olden days whereby they have the freedom to support any badminton players they like without looking so much at the nationality of the player.

Okay another 2 wins from China confirmed that all the China players have proven to the world that once again they are powerhouse in badminton by marching into the second round of the tournament. This 2 players won their matches with big marginal scores too.

    1. Kang Jun / Lu Cheng win Arun George / K. Nandagopal 21-17, 21-11.

    2. Chai Biao / Hong Wei win Pranaav Jerry CHOPRA / Akshay DEWALKAR 21-15, 21-9.

Once again congratulations to China. :)

Just my personal opinion and no offense here. Well, after you said this statement and after I looked at the score sheet for first round result, only I realised that what you said is true. None of the Indian mixed doubles, women doubles and men doubles passed through to play in the second round except for 2 men doubles and 1 women doubles pair who played with their own Indian pairs. I am very sad over this result. I thought some of them could have at least pass through to the second round. :crying:

Okay action speaks louder than words. This time China has once again proven to the whole nation that their skills, good play, smashes, good net play etc... have helped all their players to advance to the second round of the tournament. Congratulations once again. :)

Okay allow me to make some comments on this mixed doubles player named Lai Pei Jing. I am actually very impressed with her style of play. She is still very young but she has a very good skills at the court. This actually helped her to win over opponents which are higher ranked than her. I still remembered the epic moments whereby she toppled some of the higher ranked Indonesian and Thailand mixed doubles players. She is still very young. She is named the lady of steel or iron lady. She can play very well despite who she is partnered with. Despite not playing with Tan Aik Quan for one year, and recently only played again with Tan Aik Quan, her ranking rose up to 56 again last week. I believe her ranking will rise up again this week after the tournament. She partners Chan Peng Soon for a while last year and despite being a new pair playing together their ranking are as high as no 28 before. Well, I must say I am really impressed with her. :)

Perhaps they were not Indians? Did someone go to ask them if they were Indians, or did they just assume from their look? You see they could be danes of South Asian heritage.

I think there was some "let's go India" in Denmark also(although it was in a neutral match). I am not disturbed that someone cheered for Denmark.
What disturbed me was the fact that it was almost as if Sai was playing an away match.
I wish that Sai had more support.

    Agree about lighting.

Are you suggesting that Sai Praneeth had no chance against Victor Axelsen?
I disagree. Last time they played it was quite close (3 set match).

No worries here. :) Just relaxed. :D This is just a normal comment and not referring to a certain player. :D I merely stated what my friend said to me. That's all. :)

    Yes. Ha Ha.
She has all the materials to be a big star, except that she looked rather lazy. I hope she works on her stamina and movements and then she can be big.
She apparently also has a national u15 title, apart from bengal u19.

    Could be.
    Or the Danes bribed them.:cool::D

    ----
By the way, where is Liu Xin? Did she quit?
Well I thought she was going to lose to Kim Hyo Min anyway. So it will probably be SN vs KHM in semis.

    Hmm..
Looks like tommorow Saina's matches will not be on TV court. Does this mean that we won't see her on Indian TV?
It is hard to believe that Saina will not be not on TV during Indian Open.
Perhaps they will just switch to a different court whn Saina starts playing. I remember that during the world championships they shifted from the main court to a different court in order to show Srikanth vs Chen Long match.

I hope they do because I wanted to see Saina play Ruthvika Shivani.

    OK. ^^
