I thought BWF regulation was 20 players for Sudirman Cup? Not sure why they don't take more.

Ayane Kurihara without Naru Shinoya? What is this about?

Poor Sayaka Takahashi. Did she step on the toes of someone powerful?

They are already taking both Akane and NO. And if you push for ST a case can't be made for MM too, despite her recent results.

She is now in the B team. That's why you can only see her at some GP events.

I'm sure there are some reasons of doing so. Kurihara, Shinoya, Takahashi and Matsutomo are from the same club, i.e. Unisys. They train together everyday. So, it's not a problem if Kurihara is paring with either Matsutomo or Takahashi.

Takuma Ueda became the main member !! Interesting. He must be in 'Cloud Nine'. Besides, this list indicates a ' proper background management' who wants, think for the welfare of the nation .

Poor Kenichi Tago. He must be in distraught . MS and WS selection is appropriate. Where is Naru shinoya?

Naru Shinoya is potentially the best Japanese WD player. The Japanese BA should do whatever they can to groom her, including bringing her to the Sudirman Cup.

Actually, they pulled out of the semi-finals in Osaka. I wonder if Shinoya was injured.

yes, she injured during her XD game according to the report. So, she has no other go but to concede a walkover in the SF.
