A disaster for CHN WD after Yu Yang/Tang Yuanting's withdrawal. First, tQ/ZYL was bundled out, now Luo twins on the verge of defeat. Oh, CQC/JYF already eliminated yesterday. Very surprised, there's not going to be any CHN WD rep after the QFs !

BWF should video cover this tournament like a normal SS because the ranking points are the same.

Congo WYH!! Of course I am a great NO fan her athletism, behavior and of course skills are par excellence! But, I have respect for our old warhorse WYH!
Tomorrow it should be a cracker as both of them gave away everybit of effort to win today (SN and WYH)

agree. china used to dominate WD such that they can just pair any 2 and still won. anyway its great to see other nations catching up. wouldn't it be bored to see 2 SF of chn v chn.

will ZYL/TQ be drop from Rio if chn has 3 pairs to choose, so that ZYL can focus on XD with ZN?

Long gruelling QF matches in every match involving japanese players lol!
    • Such a tough and great match for NO and WY, could really have gone either way, although this 45 shots gruelling rallye at 19-19 was really the decisive one and Nozomi just couldn't get past WY's defense on that one! WY gave absolutely everything out there, tomorrow will be tough physically after 81 minutes / 1h21of match.
    • And WOW 117 minutes - 1h57 for Fukumna Yonao to overcome Ying/YU oO. Certainly one of the longest match in history !! Talk about Japanese's stamina xD Amazing stats really.
    • 84 minutes/ 1h24 min for SJH to overcome SS as well. As expected SJH comes out victorious, but that's a positive match for SS still, I didn't think she would be able to push for a decider.
    • Kamura/ Sonoda moving onto the next round, didn't watch their match, but heard them screaming while watching NO/WY lol. They overcome their opponent after 1h11 of match.
LYD/ YYS also pushed to their limits by this unknown Chinese MD pair it would seem, coming out victorious after 1h11 min of match.
