I can't help but think that if WSX had Sun Jun's coaching years ago, she might've achieved more than she did and perhaps wouldn't retire so early.

It's confirmed, the MS Final is at 0900hrs local time (Tianjin or Beijing, the same, Chinese Standard time)

Watch it live on zhangyutv , a few channels to choose from usually http://www.zhangyu.tv/channellist (remember to disable adblocks or you'll run into problems)

For Android phones, puffin browser works fine, my own experience. But I much prefer to watch on desktop PC for bigger LED panel at FHD, 1080p.

For iphone, I was told , tbgoh288 is one of them, that you've to install flash player and preferably use puffin browser, the other one is photon browser, as written here http://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/ipad/how-get-flash-on-iphone-ipad-2017-3460979/

The MD and WD Finals also on tomorrow, 0930hrs and 1000hrs respectively.

Apparently based onthe timing indicated, MS will be played first followed by MD then WD, but don't take my word for it, check it out tomorrow.

It seems to me that the biggest casualty of the last-minute arrangement to play QFs and SFs on the same day for singles is He Bibngjiao whose fitness/stamina is suspect unlike WSX who appeared fitter.

In today's bronze playoff, He Bingjiao beat Chen Xiaoxin decisively in two straight sets, 21-16, 21-16 in 44 mins.

Looks like 19-yr-old Chen Xiaoxin at the moment has some difficulty handling deceptive players, such as intanon R who drubbed her at the WC, and He Bingjiao here today.

The WD Final tomorrow is between Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan and Luo Ying/Luo Yu (the twin sisters)

    Thanks.

It is an extremely poorly organised event.

Most people would prefer the finals to be held after 7pm. I don't know why they have such a schedule.

Exactly, it's on a weekday, Friday, holding it after normal office hours will be much better, more convenient for the large majority of viewers. After all, only three Finals , it won't end very late, say, if it starts at 6 or 7 pm.

From left to right on the podium: Wang Shixian, Coach Sun Jun, Chen Yufei, Coach Wang Lin, He Bingjiao, Coach Li Yu (I think so)

Of all the people on the podium, Wang Lin will still have the most loyal fan base 10 years from now.

Ironically, the ordeal of having top play both QF and SF that day followed by a day's rest benefited the old lion Lin Dan. I daresay, had there been no break yesterday, he would probably be a spent force and might not be the last man standing today, just as what happened at the WC where he was half-spent going into the final.

For the umpteenth time, Lin Dan broke his own record of 3 CNG MS title with a 4th MS crown and a maiden CNG team title to boot, leaving the field far behind him. To me, this 4th MS title is even more impressive than if he had won the 6th WC as it was clinched after three back-to-back high level tournaments of the highest intensity.

At first, I entertained the thought that the 13 years younger up-and-coming Shi Yuqi has at least a 50% chance of upsetting the indomitable fighter whom I thought may be a case of the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak as all the odds are against him. The winning score of 21-12,21-13 is beyond my imagination.

I salute you, Lin Dan, The GOAT !

The MD and , esp, the WD results are upsets, to me. Liu Cheng/Wang Yilu are the MD champion and Luo Ying/Luo Yu the WD champion !

    Heartiest Congratulations to them.
