Razif and Jalani. Jalani is the one to the rear of the court. Are you sure that was taken in 1998? It looks more like 1982 or 1984. John Player is a cigarette brand. It wasn't allowed to advertise in badminton after mid 80's, or maybe even earlier than that.

    Razif and Jalani Sidek

    Hi blessing,

If it was taken during the Commonwealth Games, it should be either @Brisbane, Australia 1982 or @Auckland, New Zealand 1990.

In both ocassions, Razif and Jalani Sidek won Gold Medals for the Mens Doubles.

    Cheers... chris@ccc

If you look at the racquet, it's the original carbonex 8. I think that came out around 1981/2. Need to find that thread on history of yonex racquets.

Compared to the featherlight rackets we use today; NS, Ti, Carbonex, etc...Punch's baseball bat heavy wooden rac, if I use that stuff today, all my backhand will barely reach the damn net...those Thomas Cupper with tie and jackets in the heat and humidity of MAS, they must be cooking...hahaha! LOL!:p:p:D:D
