    LinDan and FuHaifeng :)

BaoChunlai is good, I suppose, but his style of playing is very...soft. Not attacking..

    Disagree.
I don't think Zhao Jianhua could follow the speedy games nowaday.
He smoked and his stamina was terrible.
Anyway don't be serious as no one could find the right answer!:confused::confused:

In terms of sports of badminton which doesnt has a scientific parameter for measurement like 100m, high jump & long jump. It is impossible to judge players of different era.

The only possible way is to meausre medal won by those players but it wont be fair as well because before the 80s the are few competition and not all country can afford to send their player to compete. While after the 80s, the competition those average player provide to star players arent as stiff as currently.

I guess it's impossible to compare, all we can do is just acknowledge all their contribution to badminton.

But I still think today top players can beat players of yesterday because of few factors.
    1. profesional, player nowadays trains day & night and paid well. concrentrate on badminton alone. Definately got higher fitness level.
    2. Learn from the past, they got the chance to learn from the past player thus use the most effective technique, skills, strategy & etc. Eliminating unnesseary traininng.
    3. Technology, better racquet, video play back.
    Just my 2cents

    Dude, Park is right-handed!

Also I suggest ppl watch ZJH's 1985 AE final. Fast, agile, with both power and fine touch, great placement, he got it all. I believe if he hadn't been ill, with his understanding of the game around 1990 (when he reaches his peak), he can beat any of LD, TH, PG, etc easily. But unfortunately he had been ill...

That said, I heard that, in 1997, ZJH played 7 points games with the JiangSu province team (to prepare for the All China Games), and he beated all opponents easily, including Sun Jun. Also, paired up with Zhang Jun for MD, they won all matches in the group event; paired up with Sun Man, they won the XD gold medal (Not sure about this one, since I only see it in one place and could not find this source anymore). Zhang Jun recalled that ZJH's movements & strokes are so mesmerizing that he sometimes would forgot what he should do and just watched ZJH in awe.

So, as always, ZJH is the best!!! :)
