it's black too, surely thicker than wilson pro ovrgrip white, but even thicker i felt no cushion at all, feel rigid for me, first 1 hour of play i almost slip the handle when doing smash, i wonder : what's wrong w/ this overgrip??" NO tacky at all fiuhhh... i already bought 1 pack of these. so i change to wilson pro then grip well in my palm even it's thinner. pro --> tends to slip because it's thin, not suit weel in my palm xtra tack ---> tends to slip because not tacky, but the feel is suit well in my palm
You have either purchased fake or defective grip. Xtra Tack is the tackiest grip. Today I was sweating like crazy and it held up well where others did not.
where you bought ? my Wilson Xtra Tack is still good and tacky eventhough after a month. I have a sweaty-palm btw. I bought in Singapore and seems that only one shop sold this overgrip .......
Yesterday i asking some player to try hold these 2 kind of overgrip, which of these is tacky the most (between pro and xtra tack)? pro---> about 12 hours of use xtra t---> about 1 hour of use most of them said the pro is more tacky and grip well, and one said the xtra tack of mine is not tacky but rather a little bit sticky compare to it peer. Yeah, maybe i bought a fake or defect product
Wilson Pro overgrip is not even that tacky. It's minor to at most, moderately tacky. Maybe you got the two grips mixed-up.
No..No.., not mixed up, when decide they always hold the racket " this one is tacky, this one isn't" so it's not mixed up surely 1st fake racket, then fake string, then fake shoes, now fake overgrip... maybe it'll be fake shuttlecock, fake t shirt, even fake player maybe... next game i'll try again w/ xtra tack, maybe i haven't "break in" enough.. but again, it's suit my palm so excellent, but the feel isn't. And for now, i'll still choose wilson pro for my favorit.
he is rite ...... Xtra tack is a bit sticky feel compare to Pro (maksudnya agak lengket gitu khan ?) ------- tacky (adj.) : tacky (of glue, paint, or other substances) retaining a slightly sticky feel;
just picked up a pack of wilson Xtack again (the prices they charge here...triple that of my pro-grip from the USA) and the weird thing is, Xtack is definatly tacky, sticky, rubbery, whatever you name it. But when you sweat, the grip doesn't absorb anything and it almost feels like there's some sort of a moist layer on top of the grip. Xtack is very tacky, but totally not absorbent (imho, ymmv ) now, wilson pro is 'tacky' for about...the first five minutes. But afterwards the grip feel 'okay' and keeps absorbing and feeling comfortable...
"Panda is angry!" on the title. I'm going to say this one more time, you need to read more carefully. All my reviews are relative to its peers. It's not my fault if you do not understand or failed to read the side notes. Relative to its peers is not absolute; relative to its peers is a comparison. If it was an absolute rating, I would rate NO overgrip "Excellent" in the wet because there is no grip that's truly excellent in extremely sweaty and wet conditions. Relative to its peers gives you the most accurate comparative rating. Meaning if something is rated "Excellent" and you do not feel that way, other grips are not going to do too much better. You do not need to keep repeating you don't agree with me, people don't need to IM me or constantly e-mail me, "OMG, my findings are different than yours, what's wrong?!" Indonesia is much more humid than Southern California which is very dry. So my level of sweat will be different than yours. I wear a sweatband, maybe you don't. I constantly switch rackets or use Prince Tacky Gel, maybe you don't. The point is, if you don't agree, fine. But please stop going on and on and on. And those of you contacting me, please stop. As I have said many times before, everyone's mileage may vary. It doesn't matter what I say or recommend, you should go with what you like. Finally, conditions change and products are updated. My findings at the time of the review was just that. My findings now can be different; and if, when I get a chance, I will update it.
I totally agree with Panda Dan.Cut him some slack..use the review as a guideline and try out and see how it goes..
i think you're misunderstood i'm just comment on jerby, and told him that what happened to him is also same situation happened to me. so there's nothing i've said means to disagree about your review. And never of me tends to say that i disagree with you i'm sorry if you angry for my previously post.
hopefully master dinkalot can review the karakal grips too. currently i am using karakal and kimoni overgrips. with the reviews, i may venture into others brand to suit me, as these reviews really help us to choose which is suitable to individual.
