i just set up a session list so that people can view and add sessions around Australia. hopefully this will grow into a big database! so far I've only got WA entries.

the list: http://www.sotx.com.au and click on Badminton Sessions. you can also access it directly http://www.badminton.net.au .

The file includes the few clubs that active in Melbourne area it would be nice if you can add it to the database..

I has been complied by a person who heads a club in Melb called Titans.

Great... Looking for a session when I touch down in Sydney early october.

8AUD for 4 hours makes you happy? You'd be REALLY happy here in Manila then. The group I play with (Baddicts. We're at baddicts.com) start at 3pm and close the courts at around 11pm (sometimes later). Usually 60-70 people of varying skill levels sharing 9 courts. There is a little wait between sets but it's ok. This is for 165 pesos (around 4.12 AUD) inclusive of shuttlecocks. Fun huh? :D

CCC sessions are devoted to members, but visitors are welcome

    Hi 450450,

It's great that you have the time to set up a big database for Badminton sessions around Australia. :):):)

    However, you might need to categorise your database into types, namely;
    (1) Public Group.... where sessions are for any players
    (2) Private Group... where sessions are for some players, but lower skills unwelcome
    (3) Public Club...... where sessions are devoted to members, and visitors are welcome
    (4) Private Club..... where sessions are for members only, visitors are unwelcome

It would be unwise to suggest to our members@Badminton Central to turn up at a venue, where they could be unwelcome.

Anyway, we wish that you could add into your database our CCC Badminton Club.

Our info can be found to be located at:
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=511911#post511911

As you can see, our CCC Badminton Club belongs to category (3), where our sessions are devoted to members, and visitors are most welcome. :):):)

    Cheers... chris@ccc

    Hi 450450,

It's good to see that you have added all the venues in Melbourne. I originally created the list but your system is easy to update and distribute. If anyone asks me for the list I will point them to your site.

    Good work.

BTW I was in Manila not long ago but did not have a chance to play. I know there are some nice courts in Manila as a lot of them are quite new. I might be going at the end of the year. Is the venue where the Baddicts group easy to find for tourist ?

    Hey Ash,

I took the liberty to publish the list that you posted, I hope that you did not mind at all as I feel that is was comprehensive enough.

    Have a great weekend!!!
