do you think that they will have high school players start using the new scoring system for high school matches? i personally havent tried the new system and i dont really like it.
yes i think they will, my small club already has... plsu i dont like it either. is there anyone who actually DOES like it?
Well, right now in B.C. I think, most of the high schools have changed to 21x3 scoring system, my club has been doing the 21x3 and so has my high school team. Hope this helps.
gahhh why why why whyyyy that means im gonna have to go and read about how to go with this new systemmm. i can already tell theres gonna be alot of problems during the season..
i like more on 3x15 or 3x11 im dizzy with 3x21 scoring and make the game real faster and you must be really careful of the game because every error counts...
why not .......... here in Singapore, official ages group tournament (Cheers Competition) used the 21x3 rally point one, and yes, if you not used to, then it will be nightmare to you. we have a pair who has better when playing 15x3 old system (coz always using this one), but when joined the competition, finished coz so many unforced-error.
NSBA already changed provincial tournaments to 21x3, thinking high school will follow when it starts up. i don;t find it all that different to change to, i kinda like it actually.
Personally, I don't know why IBF have the stupid 3x21 system. Its was the 3x15 system, then IBF changed to 5x7 system, then back to 3x15, and now, 3x21 system. These IBF officials have nothing better to do and just dream up stupid systems to mess things up. They even changed their name from IBF to some wacko new name. Next thing you know, these IBF official will require men and women players to put on heavy makeups and require all birdies manufacturers to color their birdies so badminton tournaments can be more "colorful". What are they thinking?
Currently in Vancouver BC Senior lvl, it's 3 x 11. But this is often exploited: since there is no referee, a "cheat" call can mean lots. Also, 3 x 11 really encourages serve rushing, which isn't necessaily a good thing.
IMO serve rushing is a good thing because it teaches you / forces you to lean to do a better or lower serve. That way you get a free point . Anyways, even if they still can rush a very low serve, then just do a deep one or a flick serve.
In my high school league, they have been using the 21-points score system in the special tournaments only. Not in the normal high school league, but I hope my school league doesn't change the scoring system though..
Here everything changed to 3X21, from school level to district etc. Yeah, it's a terrible system. Really dislike it. I won't even mind 1 set 21 points with service as compared to the new system. There's no more suspense at the match point, and you can hardly ever afford to misjudge the shuttle.
Still 3x15 here in schools (both high school + universities I think) but at badminton clubs they've made the switch...
