If you use your frame to hit the birdie instead of string, even if the racket is strung at 18 LBS it will still break. I have been playing my AT-700 at 26LBS and 28LBS since it was released till recently I switched to Arc Saber 10, never even manage to break one. If the frame is properly manufactured, it should take up to 33LBS without any problems. In most cases, rackets broke because of damage consequenced from previous clashes. Yep, I am still playing at 28LBS (Constant Pulling) for my Arc Saber 10. Thanks.
ive got 2 4u900t and @about 24 lbs and with one of it ive got a clash. played with someone who was playing for some weeks and i wanted to make a smash, when i saw a racket in front of mine -_- just a small paint chip but nothing else. and it was quite a hard clash. also had some frame shots, but nothing happened. i just love this racket
i just bought an Arcsaber 10 and added about an inch of lead tape at 12o'clock.. the added weight gave me that extra "umph" on my smash.. all in all i'm very satisfied w/ the result
Well... the characteristics of the racquet doesn't always fit everyone's bill. Basically, if by adding 2 small pieces of lead strips can change the characteristics of the racquet to fit one's style, why not? The predicament is that there isn't any racket with Arc Saber's stable frame and characteristics and yet as head heavy as AT-700 (I mean now, because YONEX will be releasing another version of Arc Saber which is head heavy). Just some observations, haven't anyone noticed that there isn't any Arc Saber 10 broken yet???? Please, I swear not to be the first. Thanks.
I believe this time yonex made this weapon (arch 10) to be one of the strongest, I know that ti-10 1st gen was very strong also. I had a crash (quite a big crash) it's only small chip paint (5mm), Anyone reported a broken Arch 10?
well, I have to agree saying that the frame of Arc-10 is the strongest at this moment. stronger than any box shape frame.
I believe if both racquet (arc-10 & old ti-10) crashed. The player using ti-10 will have to get a replacement from his bag.
Arc Saber 10 - Strong and fast, perfect for those who smash with wrist. AT-700 - Heavy but powerful, very forgiving. Thanks.
Tried, at that time, didn't like the feel. I was using AT-700 all these while. If not because the AT-700 is so fagile, I would not have given it up. When you play with Arc Saber 10, your response will be much much faster than AT-700. But... it all boils down to a person's style of play. Arc Saber 10 is excellent for doubles. Try to wield one yourself for a couple of games before you decide... Thanks.
haha, i wish i could try both at the same time, the ARC 10 i played with had the grip wrapped above the cone, and it felt weird because of that, and the strings sucked.
