I have heard of this very well advertised and publicised event but surprisingly, not heard of the result. Does anyone know, particularly from Singapore? Maybe it wasn't announced by Singapore press after their no.1 men's player had lost to a girl, albeit, the world no.1 female squash player If anyone can please do a "write-up" or put a link up where I can enjoy reading how Datuk Nicol robs poor Udai of his manhood, err..I mean his win, that would be good aDeLiNa (cheeky chiwi [chinese kiwi] who had played with some Black Cocks before) Kwun, before you tell me off, I assume you do realise that's our NZ unofficial badminton team's name!
datuk sure or not? cannot be real right? It'll be a shame to the guys. She'll be a Tan Sri next time. Hmmm, I wonder at what mens seeding will the women beat the men? Interesting stuff.
I've played against Rachel Hindley once, and that's it .. She's a black-cock too, isn't she ? Someone told me that the name is changed now though. I've lost to alot of women/girls before, maybe xie xingfang will beat a MS player too.
Wah Adelina reappeared after such a long siesta! Fortunately, Mr Singh retained his manhood albeit by the nearest of margins over the full distance. And he saved the face of us adultmalehood! So Nicol lost her.... womanhood? I do miss the Black Cocks and their instantaneous chanting and cheering at the last Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Udai Singh should not be too happy about that win. Nicol just played the Singapore Open with all the tough girls and she came up top. Now just to entertain the crowd she obliged with such an exhibition match. If she is fresher, she will not have problem winning this match. From the score line we knew Nicol must be really tired after such a hectic schedule. No matter what we salute Datuk Nicol Ann David. She is still the greatest woman player of all time. Cheers!
yeah... they should have one ladies badminton player to play against the men. Anyone loose to the ladies will be disqualified from super series. hehe. When I was 18, played against Malaysia top national ladies player at that time. Leong Chai Lean. Damn... lost to her. I led first 8 points, then the made me run like a dog all over the court. I have to take time out a couple of times. damn embarassing. Happens many2 times. Like a test subject to her. The good thing is my speed and stamina improved a lot. Then wack my friends like a breeze.. that's the advantage to play/spar against good players.
So the results are out, was searching for it. There's prize money too but more for exhibition. Would like to see Nicol face her team mates Ong BH or Azlan again some day. Would be interesting to see how the baddy "battle of the sexes" will go.
looking at the current MS ranking list, i think you'll have to look down a really long way to find a top MS player XXF could beat.
Click on the link my bro. It's reported in the news article, our Wee Wern lost. But the guy was gracious, he said it was harder than playing with most guys in Spore, kah kah. Of course lah, Wee Wern is Asia Youth Champ. As for Nicol vs Udai, I do think if she havent had 2 weeks of hard fought matches in new format, Nicol could have won.
are limsy and george brothers? they do have some similarities - such as posting without thinking or reading previous posts. it was shown clearly on the number of posts in such a short period of time.
It's not just an exhibition match actually. Prize money was awarded to the winner, so there's some incentive for Nicol...ok, who am I kidding, she probably didn't need the money but still....!
If I were Udai Singh I would actually feel "malu" for not thrashing Nicol in straight sets and not allowing her more than 5 points in each of the 3 sets. I am sure Ronald Susilo would feel the same if he were nerely beaten by the world's women champion in badminton.
