A good day for Team INA so far, with only 2 WD matches left.

It's 3/3 in MS with the surprise being Simon Santoso beating Lee Chong Wei in 3 tight-sets. Simon will face fellow team-mate Sony Dwi Kuncoro as INA is guaranteed a spot in the SF. If Taufik Hidayat can beat Park Sung Hwan, then, there will be an INA rep in the Final from the top-half.

In WS, it's kinda expected to see Adriyanti Firdasari beating a seeded pair yesterday, only to lose to Nicole Grether today.

In MD, it will be Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan, Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki (who beat team-mate Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan), and Hendra A. Gunawan/Alvent Yulianto Chandra in the QF tomorrow. Kido/Hendra will be tested by Hwang Ji Man/Shin Baek Cheol, Rian/Yoke will face yet another rematch against Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari/Mohd Zakry/Abdul Latif; while Alvent/AG will have a tough task against Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen.

In XD, Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir will face Ko Sung Hyun/Ha Jung Eun and is likely to enter the SF, where they are expected to meet the winner between Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita and Joachim Fischer-Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen. If Devin/Lita can beat the Danes, it will be a major achievement! The most surprising result must be Hendra A. Gunawan/Vita Marissa beating Zheng Bo/Ma Jin! They will face the newly crowned World Champion Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl tomorrow.

I always feel that both Simon and Sony on their best form can give the top players a tough fight if the top players are not in good form.

I think Simon feels vindicated as LCW trashed him during the 2008 Aviva open.

    Today's R/16 is almost over...
Overall, it's good day for INA camp except the unexpected Firda losing.

The well-deserved rest for most of INA players bear fruit as another 2 WD pairs Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii and Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati both progress to the QF. I am pretty sure Nitya/Grace will beat their Japanese opponent tomorrow, but Mel/Shendy will have a tough task over Satoko Suetsuna/Miyuki Maeda.

Good is probably an understatement :) It's an EXCELLENT day for INA. Who will expect Simon to beat Lee Chong Wei; and for AG/Vita to triumph over Zheng Bo/Ma Jin?

Haih... Neighboring thread got very hot becos' of me? Gosh, I'm such a bad boy.

Ahhh, why?! I did my best to shorten my discussion session with my prof so that I could go back home in time to support CHN team. But... Why ZB/MJ, CL, and JYJ lost? :crying::mad:

Fortunately, as a consolation, most INA players perform exceptionally well.:p
Too bad Firda couldn't keep the momentum...

    Wah, plural form?
I'm happy enough if INA get 1 title.
MD got Boe/M'sen & Fuzzy, XD got 2 DENs, MS got PSH and BCL.
    How can look good mah?
    One can only hope.:)
