have not seen any news posted on OBA (now badminton ontario) website.
I've never missed spectating the top level event in Ontario in the past few
years. I'm just wondering if it's still a go in Jan. 2011?

    Anyone has any news/updates?

again I'll go for sure, most likely all 4 days!
i guess they don't need all 10-12 courts open 'coz there will be no need for ABCD flights.
Just single/double elimination. Hopefully there're enough seats for spectators.

Even if there isn't, I'll stand and watch. I was looking at the players there the other day and the majority of top canadian young badminton players will be there...should be a good even to watch! See you there!

I have been told, no. You don't need to pay to watch.
However, the finals on Sunday, you may need to pay for the ticket at entrance.

Can some one confirm, which one is the right date? Is it Jan 7-2011 or Jan 27-2011? According to those links above, one is Jan 27-2011 and the other is Jan 7-2011. Confuse ????? Thanks

At OBA (http://www.ontariobadminton.on.ca/), under their Events Calendar and Events Listing, they had it listed on Jan 27th.

according to badminton ontario, live streaming will be available for both Toronto Open and the Nationals:

As some of you remember, at the Junior Nationals in May 2010 we streamed 1 court live for the first time in Badminton Ontario. This year for the Toronto Open and National championships we will be streaming 2 courts live!

To watch centre court 1 click here: mms://livestream.humber.ca/humber-athletics

To watch centre court 2 click here: mms://livestream.humber.ca/humber-athletics2
