Zaitsava self destructing, and Firda seizing the opportunity. 16-12

That's the thing I hate about Badminton Olympics.

The tournament made the top players so nervous and they could lose to anybody even the crappiest players from an unknown country.

But after the Olympics is over. These crappy players who scored big surprises and upsets are no where to be heard and they didnt do well in the Super Series/Team events.

Olympics is not the best metric to judge how good the players are clearly.

    Weeping for Tago now. T.T

Stay strong Tago. You will be the next Lin Dan !!!!

Tago,O Tago, your stunning defeat at Sri Lankan Niluka's hand even outdone Chen Long's shock defeat to Guatemalan Kevin Cordon! Incredible, the first unbelievable casualty. Well, this is the Olympics for you.

Lin Dan's reaction after Tago's defeat:

Wait a minute. This situation is so familiar. Ahh, eight years ago.

I have to step up my game then.

It is grossly unfair to Niluka to say it was purely nerves which beat Tago.
He is a Sri Lankan Lion and you guys should know we have true fighting spirit no matter how high the mountain is.

    -PROUD TO BE SRI LANKAN-

What!!!? Tago lost? His group opponents arent that strong. Goes to show again in major tournaments how unknowns can upset a seeded player
